About Strada Matte

Strada Matte is a clean, handleless slab kitchen with a smooth painted finish and a built-in J-handle detail. It is designed for rooms where you want strong lines, calm surfaces and a kitchen that feels modern without becoming cold.

The flat door face gives each colour room to breathe. Soft neutrals feel quiet and refined, deep blues and greens feel architectural, and darker shades such as Graphite or Cannon Black create a more dramatic, tailored look. With no frame detail or visible grain, the colour, layout and proportions of the cabinetry become the main design features.

A smooth slab door with an integrated handle

The Strada Matte door is made from a 22mm MDF slab with an integrated J-handle. This means the grip is formed into the door itself, giving you the clean look of a handleless kitchen without adding separate handles across the cabinet fronts.

Because the door has no rails, centre panel or decorative detail, it works especially well in open-plan kitchens, contemporary extensions and rooms where you want the cabinetry to sit as part of the architecture. Tall banks, wide drawer runs and island units all feel crisp and composed in this range.

A painted matt finish with a calmer look

The smooth matt surface gives Strada Matte a softer feel than a gloss slab kitchen. It does not carry the same sharp reflections, so the cabinetry feels more settled in the room and lets the shape of the design speak for itself.

This makes the range particularly versatile. In lighter colours, Strada Matte can feel simple, bright and understated. In deeper shades such as Marine, Deep Forest or Slate Blue, it becomes richer and more atmospheric, especially when paired with stone worktops, warm timber flooring, brass details or feature lighting.

Colours designed around your room

Strada Matte is available in a choice of popular stocked colours, with a wider Paint to Order palette for more personal schemes. That gives you the freedom to choose a soft neutral, a confident dark shade, a muted green, a deep blue or a colour-matched finish for a more individual Mastercraft kitchen.

The colour choice should never sit in isolation. We would look at your natural light, flooring, worktops, wall colours, appliances and the way adjoining spaces connect, so the finished kitchen feels right within your home rather than simply chosen from a sample.

A Mastercraft kitchen, designed as a complete room

With Strada Matte, the door is only the starting point. The real design work comes from how the kitchen is planned around your space, your storage, your appliances and the way you want to live.

Your Mastercraft Strada Matte kitchen can include handleless cabinetry, built-in appliances, pantry storage, island seating, lighting, worktops, flooring and wider room finishes, all brought together as one complete design. The result is a modern slab kitchen with clean lines, practical detail and the level of finish expected from a bespoke Mastercraft project.
