Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Oldbury Home

If you are thinking about a new kitchen in Oldbury, the design starts with your home, your room, and the way you actually use it.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well begins before any door style or finish is chosen. It starts with the room: how light moves through it, how you get from the back door to the hob, how the space connects to wherever your family actually spends time. Layout and proportions come first. Everything else follows from that.

Oldbury has a real mix of housing. Victorian terraces with narrow rear kitchens and chimney breasts eating into the usable run. Inter-war semis with side extensions or back additions that have changed the original footprint. Larger family homes with more generous but sometimes awkward spaces. Each one starts from a different place. Your kitchen is designed for the room you have, not a room someone else has.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, ceilings that slope, pipework that has to stay: these are resolved at the design stage. By the time your kitchen goes into production, every dimension has been accounted for properly. Nothing is left to be figured out on installation day. If something is fixed and immovable, the design works with it from the start.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The designer who draws your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made, because the people who make it are in the same building.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves. These are not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish. When the cabinets arrive at your home, they are complete. The way we manufacture is what separates a kitchen that lasts from one that starts to show its age within a few years.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts on show every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built to the same standard as the ones you do. That consistency is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over ten, fifteen, twenty years of daily use.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual width, a cabinet that runs beneath a sloping ceiling, or something specific to your layout, we design and build it to those exact requirements. There is no negotiating with a fixed range to get close enough.

Your Kitchen Project in Oldbury, Handled from Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress between separate contractors. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility. The project moves forward properly because the same team holds it from the very beginning. How we work is straightforward by design.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time. The knowledge travels with the project all the way through.

Oldbury homes come in different shapes. A Victorian terrace in the older parts of town brings a very different brief to a larger post-war family home. Each project is treated on its own terms. The programme is built around your property and your situation, not adjusted to fit a standard approach that was drawn up for a different kind of house entirely.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything goes into production. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that should have been resolved at the design stage. What was drawn is what gets built, and what gets built is what gets fitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from start to finish?

It varies depending on the complexity of your kitchen and your room, but as a general guide you should allow several months from your first conversation to installation. The design stage takes a few weeks, manufacturing follows once everything is confirmed and measured, and installation typically takes one to two weeks depending on the scope of the project. We will give you a clear timeline once we have seen your space and understood what is involved.

What happens at the first consultation?

We come to your home and spend time in the room with you. We look at the space, talk through how you use it, what is not working, what you want more of, and what matters most to you in the finished kitchen. There is no sales presentation. It is a practical conversation that gives us what we need to begin designing properly. There is no obligation at that stage.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

Bespoke kitchens vary considerably depending on the size of your room, the materials you choose, the appliances you want, and the level of storage and interior detail involved. A smaller, well-specified kitchen will cost less than a large open-plan space with extensive cabinetry and premium worktops. Rather than quote figures that can be misleading without context, we would rather talk through your project and give you a realistic indication based on what you actually want. What we can say is that this is a long-term investment in your home, and the design and manufacturing approach we take is built around making it last.

Can you work with unusual room shapes or awkward layouts?

Yes, and that is often where bespoke design is most valuable. If your room has a chimney breast, a low or sloping ceiling, an alcove, non-standard wall angles, or any other feature that makes a standard kitchen difficult to fit well, we design around those things from the start. Nothing is left to be resolved on installation day.

What kitchen styles do you offer?

We design across a wide range of styles, from traditional in-frame and shaker kitchens to clean-lined handleless designs. Because we manufacture everything ourselves, we are not limited to a fixed range. The style, finish and detailing are all chosen to suit your home and your taste, and we will guide you through those decisions as part of the design process.

How is the cabinetry made?

Your cabinets are built in our own UK workshop. They are rigid and factory assembled before they leave, not flat-pack units put together on site. We build to the exact dimensions of your room, so every cabinet is made specifically for your space. That approach produces a more consistent finish and a more durable result than anything assembled from a kit on the day of installation.

Do you manage the full installation, or do we need to arrange other trades?

We manage the full installation. You do not need to coordinate separate tradespeople or chase anyone for progress. Our installation team handles everything from delivery through to the finished kitchen. One team, one process, one point of contact throughout.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes, and having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful when your kitchen is part of a wider building project. If you are extending your home, reconfiguring a ground floor, or working with a main contractor on a larger renovation, we can coordinate our work within that programme. Because we control design and production ourselves, we can work to specific lead times and adapt if the build programme shifts. You are not dealing with a third-party manufacturer who has no connection to your project.

Can we see examples of your work before committing?

Yes. We are happy to share photography from previous projects and talk you through kitchens we have designed for similar homes and spaces. Our journal also shows a range of completed projects across different styles and room types. If you would like to visit our showroom and see the quality of the cabinetry and finishes in person, you are welcome to arrange that too.

What worktop materials do you work with?

We work with a wide range of worktop materials including natural stone, engineered quartz, solid timber, and more. The right choice depends on your kitchen design, how you use the space, and the look you want to achieve. We will talk through the options with you as part of the design process and help you choose something that suits the kitchen properly, not just something that looks good in isolation.

How far in advance do we need to start planning?

The earlier the better, particularly if your kitchen is part of a wider renovation or if you have a specific date in mind for completion. Getting the design right takes time, and so does manufacturing. Starting conversations early gives the project the space it needs to be done properly. That said, if you have a shorter timeframe, get in touch and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Is Oldbury within your regular working area?

Yes. We work regularly across Oldbury and the surrounding parts of the West Midlands. Whether you are in the older parts of the town, in one of the inter-war streets, or in a larger family home on the edge of the borough, we cover the whole area and visit at a time that suits you.
