Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Runcorn Home

Whether you are in a family home on a modern estate or an inter-war semi closer to the old town, your kitchen is designed specifically for the space you have.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well starts with the room itself. How the light moves through it, how you enter and leave, how it connects to the rest of the house. Those things shape the layout before anything else is decided. Getting the proportions right comes first. Everything visual, the doors, the finishes, the worktops, follows from that.

Runcorn has a wide range of property types. Modern estates built in the last few decades, inter-war semis with their own distinct proportions, larger family homes across the newer parts of town. Each brings a different starting point. Your kitchen is drawn around the architecture of your home, not borrowed from a plan that was made for a different kind of space.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, ceilings that drop toward a window: these are worked through at the design stage. Every dimension is resolved before manufacturing begins. By the time your kitchen is being built, there are no unknowns left. Nothing is improvised or adjusted on the day installation starts.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The designer who plans your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made and what the finished result needs to achieve.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves. This is not flat-pack construction put together on site from components. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish. That difference is visible in how the kitchen sits together and how it holds up over time. You can read more about how we approach quality and manufacturing on that page.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the doors and worktops you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished to the same level as the visible elements. The parts you rarely look at are built with the same care as the ones you do. That consistency is what determines how well your kitchen performs after years of daily use.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not working from a catalogue of fixed sizes. If your room needs a run of cabinetry at an unusual width, a column built around an awkward corner, or anything specific to your space, we design and build it exactly as the room requires. No compromises in the plan to accommodate what a manufacturer will and will not produce.

Your Runcorn Kitchen Project, Handled from Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress between separate contractors. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward properly because the same team holds it from beginning to end. How we work explains that process in more detail.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual proportions or specific constraints. No one arrives on site looking at your plans for the first time and working out how to make them fit.

Runcorn homes vary considerably in their layout and construction. A modern estate property has a different set of starting conditions to an inter-war semi or a detached family home built in the 1990s. Your project is treated on its own terms, planned around what your specific home presents, not adjusted to fit a programme that was designed for a different kind of house.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not properly resolved at the design stage. The survey, the plan, and the build are all part of the same careful process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with homes in all parts of Runcorn?

Yes. We work across Runcorn, including the newer estates, older inter-war properties and family homes throughout the area. The starting point is always your specific home, so the location or property type does not limit what we can design for you.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

A bespoke kitchen from Mastercraft is a significant investment, and the cost varies depending on the size of your room, the materials and finishes you choose, the appliances you include, and the level of storage detail you want. A straightforward kitchen in a standard-sized room sits at a different level to a large open-plan space with high-specification worktops and a full range of fitted appliances. Rather than quoting figures that may not reflect your project, the most useful thing is to have a conversation about your specific room and what you want it to do. That gives us a proper basis for talking about budget realistically. What we can say is that you are investing in something designed and built specifically for your home, and that shows in how it performs and how long it lasts.

What happens at the first design consultation?

We come to your home and look at the room properly. We talk through how you use the space, what is and is not working at the moment, and what you want your new kitchen to do. We take in the proportions, the light, how the room connects to the rest of the house. From there we start to build a picture of what the design should achieve. There is no obligation attached to that first visit.

My kitchen has an awkward layout. Can you work with it?

That is exactly the kind of room bespoke design is suited to. Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot be moved, ceilings that slope, irregular floor plans: these are resolved at the design stage, not improvised on installation day. Because we manufacture your kitchen ourselves, we are not constrained by catalogue sizes or standard configurations.

What kitchen styles do you offer?

We design across a wide range of styles, from classic shaker kitchens to handleless kitchens and everything in between. The style is chosen to suit your home and your taste, not pulled from a fixed menu. If you want to explore the range of design directions available, our kitchen styles and finishes page is a good place to look.

How long does the whole process take from first conversation to installation?

Timescales vary depending on the complexity of your project and our current programme. As a general guide, the design and specification process takes several weeks, manufacturing follows once everything is confirmed, and installation is scheduled from there. We will give you a clear picture of timescales once we understand your project properly, so you can plan around it.

How is the kitchen manufactured?

Your kitchen is built in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not made up from flat-pack components on site. We manufacture to the exact dimensions of your room, so when installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. The build quality is consistent throughout, not just in the visible elements.

Who carries out the installation?

Our own installation team fits your kitchen. They are not a separate contractor brought in at the end of the process. Because they are part of the same team that designed and built your kitchen, they understand the project fully before they arrive. There are no handovers, no gaps, and no one working from instructions they were not involved in putting together.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes, and having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful in that situation. When a kitchen is part of a wider building project, things change: dimensions shift, structural decisions affect the layout, and the plan needs to adapt. Because we are designing and building your kitchen ourselves, we can respond to those changes properly rather than working around a fixed order placed with a third-party manufacturer. We are used to working alongside builders and architects and fitting our programme into a wider construction schedule.

Can I choose my own appliances?

Yes. We design your kitchen around the appliances you want, whether you have something specific in mind already or want guidance on what works well in your space. Appliances are specified as part of the design process so that everything integrates properly, both visually and practically.

What worktop options are available?

We work with a wide range of worktop materials, including stone, quartz, solid wood and more. The right choice depends on your kitchen's design, how you use the space and the finish you want. Your designer will talk through the options and help you choose something that suits the kitchen and holds up well in daily use.

How do I get started?

The simplest way is to get in touch and have a conversation. You can tell us a little about your home and what you are thinking, and we can talk through whether and how we can help. If it makes sense to take it further, we will arrange to come and see your space. There is no obligation at any stage of that early conversation.
