About the Role

Mastercraft Kitchens designs and installs bespoke fitted kitchens for private clients across the UK. The finish of every project matters to us and to our clients, and tiling is a significant part of that. We are looking for experienced wall and floor tilers to join our installation network on a self-employed or contract basis across the Midlands, North East, North West, South West, and Wales.

This is a role for someone who takes real care over their work, understands how much the details count in a client’s home, and can be relied upon to deliver a consistent, high-quality result on every project.

What the Work Involves

You will carry out all wall and floor tiling required as part of each kitchen installation. Projects are based at private residential properties, so a professional approach and good communication with clients and other trades on site is important throughout.

Day to day, the role includes:

• Taking accurate on-site measurements before work begins
• Preparing surfaces through cleaning, levelling, and adhesive application
• Cutting and fitting tiles to accommodate the layout, including around fixtures and obstacles
• Setting out tiles in accordance with the specified design, with careful attention to alignment and spacing
• Applying grout neatly and finishing to a clean, polished standard
• Sealing tiled surfaces where required
• Carrying out any necessary repairs or replacements to maintain the quality of the finished project

What We Are Looking For

A minimum of two years of hands-on tiling experience is preferred. We are looking for someone who works to a high standard consistently and is comfortable as part of a broader installation team.

You will also need:

• A valid driving licence and your own vehicle
• The ability to travel to project sites across your region, with overnight stays when required
• Good communication skills and the ability to work alongside other trades professionally
• Physical fitness and the ability to handle materials and equipment on site

• A thorough understanding of tile materials, adhesives, and grouting products
• The ability to read and follow layout plans and specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to a clean, precise finish
• A practical approach to problem-solving when challenges arise on site
• A calm, professional manner when working in clients’ homes
