At Mastercraft Kitchens, we design and deliver beautifully crafted, made-to-measure kitchens for clients across the UK. We’re now looking for additional experienced kitchen designers or sales professionals to join us in a self-employed role – helping clients plan their dream kitchen from the comfort of their own home.
This is a design-focused, sales-led role where you’ll visit customers in their homes, listen to what they need, and guide them through the full journey – from first ideas to final sign-off. There’s no showroom. You manage your own diary, work independently, and use your knowledge and confidence to bring in business.
We’re looking for people who can design with care and sell with purpose – those who are great at reading the room, handling objections, and turning interest into action. With our trusted product range, professional support and strong lead flow, the opportunity is there for you to succeed.
About the Role
As a self-employed Sales Designer at Mastercraft Kitchens, you must be able to close sales and will be the vital link between vision and reality. This is a sales-led, creative and client-facing role where you will guide discerning homeowners through the entire kitchen journey – from initial design consultation to supporting the client unit the final finishing touches on installation day.
You’ll be entrusted with every stage of the process, delivering a premium service that goes far beyond selling – you’re designing a space that transforms how our clients live.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct design consultations with clients either virtually or in their own homes. There is no showroom selling.
- Interpret client briefs with a deep understanding of their lifestyle and needs
- Design bespoke kitchens using industry-leading CAD software
- Prepare detailed quotations and specification documents
- Present design concepts and finishes with clarity and enthusiasm
- Maintain client relationships from initial enquiry to post-installation follow-up
- Collaborate closely with surveyors, fitters and workshop teams
- Perform site visits and manage customer expectations when necessary
- Ensure every Mastercraft kitchen meets our rigorous standards of design, quality and service
- Bring in orders on price
What We’re Looking For
You are articulate, design-focused and have a passion for creating spaces that truly reflect individual lifestyles. You thrive in a premium sales environment and find genuine satisfaction in exceeding customer expectations.
Essential:
- Previous commission-based kitchen design sales experience in a customer-facing environment
- Proven track record for generating sales
- Familiarity with CAD software ( ArtiCAD)
- A genuine interest in interior design and home improvement
- A proactive, organised and self-motivated mindset
- Ability to manage projects
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Must be willing to travel
Desirable:
- Background in high-value consultative sales
- Background in fitting or home improvement trades
The Details
Job Type: Full-time or part-time
Schedule: Your earnings are related to the time you put in, including weekends and evenings.
Pay: On Target Earnings £60k – £100k plus
Additional pay and incentives:
