Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Slough Home
Whether you live in an inter-war semi, a family detached or a newer development, your kitchen is designed from scratch around the specific space you have.

Designed Around Your Home
Designing a kitchen well begins with the room itself. The light, how you move through the space, how it connects to the rest of the house. Before anything is drawn up, we understand how the room actually works. Layout and proportions come first. Decisions about doors, finishes and details follow from that. That order matters.
Slough has a broad mix of housing. Inter-war semis, family detached homes, modern new-build developments: each one brings its own proportions, its own constraints, its own way of sitting in the ground. Your kitchen is designed to work within the architecture of your home, not drawn up generically and then adjusted to fit.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, walls that cannot be moved: these are resolved at the design stage, not on installation day. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has been accounted for. There are no surprises waiting when the team arrives at your home.
Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made and fitted.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish. What arrives at your home is a finished kitchen, not a kit waiting to be built.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you rarely notice are built to the same standard as the ones you look at constantly. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over time.
Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual width, a run that follows a sloping ceiling, or a configuration specific to your space, we design and build it exactly as required. You can read more about how we approach quality and manufacturing if that side of things matters to you.
Your Slough Kitchen Project, Handled From Start to Finish
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress. There are no handoffs between separate contractors, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward properly because one team holds it from beginning to end.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time and working out what to do from there.
Slough homes vary considerably in character. An inter-war semi on a quiet residential street is a different starting point from a modern detached on a newer development. Your project is approached on its own terms, not adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully accounted for at the design stage. You can see how the process works in full here.

- Designed and built to last, not specified to a price point that requires replacing.
Begin Your Kitchen Design
If you are thinking about a new kitchen in Slough, the best place to start is a conversation. There is no pressure and no obligation. We will listen to what you are looking for, ask the right questions, and give you a clear sense of what is possible for your home.
A design consultation is a practical conversation, nothing more formal than that. We come to you, look at your space properly, and begin from there. We talk through how you use the room, what is and is not working, and what your kitchen could become. That is how every project starts.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from first conversation to completion?
It varies depending on the complexity of your kitchen and how quickly decisions are made, but as a general guide you should allow several months from your initial design consultation to installation. The design phase takes time to do properly, and manufacturing is carried out to order. We will give you a clear timeline once your project is underway so you know exactly where things stand.
What happens at the first design consultation?
We come to your home in Slough, look at the space properly, and talk through what you want from your kitchen. It is a practical conversation, not a presentation. We ask questions about how you use the room, what is not working at the moment, and what you are hoping to change. Nothing is sold at that stage. We just need to understand your home and your situation before any design work begins.
Can you work with awkward or unusual rooms?
Yes, and this is where a bespoke approach makes the most difference. If your kitchen has a chimney breast, a sloping ceiling, a structural wall that cannot move, or an odd layout inherited from a previous extension, all of that is resolved at the design stage. Every dimension is worked out before manufacturing begins, so nothing is left to be improvised on site.
What kitchen styles do you offer?
We do not work from a fixed catalogue, but across our range we cover everything from classic shaker kitchens to contemporary handleless designs. The style is chosen around your home and your taste, not the other way round. If you want a sense of the range before we meet, you can browse the full options on our kitchen styles pages.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
It depends on a number of factors: the size of the room, the materials and finishes you choose, the appliances, and the level of storage and interior detail throughout. Because every kitchen is different, it is not straightforward to quote a single figure. What we can say is that our kitchens represent a genuine long-term investment in your home, and the cost reflects that. Most projects fall within a range that reflects the quality of the design, materials and craftsmanship involved. The best way to get a realistic sense of what your kitchen would cost is to have an initial conversation with us, once we understand your space and what you are looking for, we can give you a proper indication.
How is the kitchen actually made?
Your kitchen is built in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is factory assembled, not flat-packed and put together on site. Before manufacturing begins, your room is measured precisely, so everything is made to the exact dimensions of your space. When the installation team arrives, the kitchen is ready to fit. There is no guesswork and no on-site improvisation.
Who carries out the installation?
Our own installation team, the same people who have been involved throughout the project. They know the design, they know the room, and they know exactly how everything is meant to go together. You are not handed over to a separate contractor at the end of the process.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. If your kitchen is part of a wider building project, such as a rear extension or a full ground-floor renovation, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly valuable. We can work alongside your architect or builder, and because we control the design and the making of the kitchen ourselves, we can adapt to changes in the build programme without everything unravelling. It is a more joined-up way of doing it than bringing in a separate kitchen supplier at the end.
Can I choose my own appliances, or do you supply them?
We can advise on appliances and supply them as part of your project, or we can design around appliances you have already chosen or purchased. Either way, the appliances are fully integrated into the design from the start, not added at the end. If you have particular brands or models in mind, we will work with those dimensions and specifications from the outset.
Do you have a showroom I can visit?
We do have a store where you can see examples of our work and get a feel for materials and finishes. That said, most of the meaningful design conversation happens at your home, not in a showroom. Seeing your actual space, your light, your proportions, is far more useful than looking at display kitchens that have nothing to do with where you live.
How do I know the design will actually work in my room before anything is made?
The design process is thorough before manufacturing begins. We work through the layout in detail with you, refining it until everything is right. You will have a clear picture of how your kitchen will look and function before a single cabinet is made. Nothing goes into production until you are fully satisfied with the design.
Do you work in other towns near Slough?
Yes. As well as Slough, we work across the surrounding area including Windsor, Maidenhead and Staines, and more broadly across Berkshire. If you are based nearby and want to talk through a project, the process is exactly the same wherever you are.
