TRUSTED BY HOMEOWNERS ACROSS THE REGION
Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Minehead Home
Your kitchen needs to be designed properly for your home. Not adapted from a standard range, not adjusted as installation gets underway, but planned from the room itself so everything works as it should once it is in place. The same team handles the design, the making and the fitting, so nothing gets lost between one stage and the next.

A bespoke kitchen design for a Minehead home by Mastercraft Kitchens
Designed Around Your Home
If you are planning a new kitchen in your home in Minehead, the starting point is always the room itself. The proportions, the light, the way you move through the space. That is what the design has to answer first.
Homes in Minehead vary more than most people expect. A stone cottage behaves very differently to a Georgian townhouse or a coastal home that has been extended over the years. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, not adapted from something drawn up for a different kind of house entirely.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings: these are resolved at the design stage, not worked around during installation. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has already been accounted for.
The designer who plans your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made. One team, from the first drawing through to the day it goes in. That continuity means your room is understood at every stage, not just the first one.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. That method produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish, and it shows once your kitchen is in place.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built to the same standard as the ones you do, and that is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of daily use.
Because your kitchen is made by the same people who designed it, there are no standard sizes to work around. If your room needs an unusual width, a run that follows a sloping ceiling, or a configuration specific to your layout, it is designed and built exactly that way. Your space sets the brief, not the other way around.
One Team, from Design to Installation
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress. Everything moves forward properly because the same people are responsible for all of it.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time.
Minehead homes each bring their own starting point. A stone cottage with thick walls and uneven floors asks different questions to a Georgian townhouse or a coastal property with a more open layout. Your project is treated on its own terms, planned around what your home actually is, not fitted into a programme drawn up for a different kind of house.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments compensating for things that were not fully worked through at the design stage. It has all been resolved long before the first cabinet goes in.

Why People in Minehead Choose Mastercraft
A kitchen at this level is not just about how it looks. It is about whether it has been thought through properly from the start and carried through without compromise. Every kitchen is designed from scratch for the specific home, not adjusted from something that already existed. It is made in our own UK workshop by the people who designed it, which means the design intent does not get lost in translation. One team handles the whole project, from your first conversation to the day your kitchen is handed over, so there are no gaps in responsibility and no one picking up a brief they were not part of from the beginning. The result is a kitchen that fits your room properly, works the way your home requires, and holds up well over time.
The same team designs, builds and installs your kitchen, so nothing is handed off or lost between stages.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from start to finish?
Most kitchens take around three to five months from your initial design consultation through to the end of installation. The design and specification phase typically takes four to six weeks, followed by manufacturing, which usually runs six to ten weeks depending on the complexity of your kitchen. Installation itself generally takes one to two weeks. If your project involves building work or an extension, the overall timeline will depend on when the room is ready for us.
What happens at the first consultation?
We come to your home in Minehead and look at the room with you. There is no presentation, no showroom visit required. We talk through how you use the space, what is and is not working, and what you want the new kitchen to do. From there we get a clear picture of what the design needs to answer. It is a straightforward conversation, and it is where every project starts.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
Most Mastercraft kitchens fall somewhere between fifteen thousand and fifty thousand pounds, with the majority of projects in the twenty to thirty-five thousand pound range. The variation comes down to the size of the room, the materials and finishes you choose, the appliances you include, and the level of storage detail involved. A smaller kitchen with a focused brief will sit towards the lower end. A larger room with extensive cabinetry, stone worktops and integrated appliances will be further up. What you are paying for is a kitchen designed and made precisely for your home, not a standard product with a few adjustments. At your consultation we can give you a realistic picture of where your project is likely to land.
Can you work with unusual room shapes or awkward features?
Yes, and this is where bespoke design makes the most practical difference. Alcoves, chimney breasts, low ceilings, sloping rooflines, thick stone walls: these are all things we design around from the beginning. Nothing is forced to fit. The cabinetry is made to the exact dimensions of your room, so whatever your space presents, the design accounts for it properly before anything is manufactured.
What kitchen styles are available?
There is no fixed catalogue to choose from. Your kitchen is designed around your home and your taste, so the style comes from that conversation rather than a brochure. That said, if you are looking for a starting point, we work across a wide range of directions, from classic shaker kitchens and traditional in-frame cabinetry through to cleaner, more contemporary designs. The right style for your home depends on the property, the room and what you want to live with long term.
How is the kitchen actually made?
Your cabinetry is manufactured in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. The workshop uses your exact dimensions, taken from your room, so what is made is built specifically for your home. You can read more about how we approach quality and manufacturing if that is useful.
Do you manage the whole installation, or do I need to organise separate tradespeople?
We handle the installation ourselves. You are not left sourcing or coordinating separate contractors. Our installation team works from the same drawings and specifications used to manufacture your kitchen, so everything arrives ready to fit and the people installing it already know the project in full. If your kitchen is part of a wider renovation, we can talk through how to coordinate our work with the building programme.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. A kitchen that sits within a building project or extension is something we handle regularly, and having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly valuable in that situation. When the kitchen is being designed at the same time as the structure around it, we can work with your architect or builder so the room and the kitchen develop together. Dimensions are confirmed, services are positioned correctly, and nothing needs to be changed on site because something was specified without the kitchen properly in mind. The earlier we are involved, the more smoothly that coordination tends to go.
Do I need to visit a showroom?
No. We come to you. The design process starts in your home, because that is where the room is. You are welcome to visit our store if you want to see materials, finishes or hardware in person, but it is not a requirement. Most of the early work happens at your kitchen, looking at the actual space.
How precise is the measuring, and what if my walls are not straight?
We measure your room in detail before anything is manufactured, and we account for walls that are out of square, floors that are not level and other things that older properties in particular tend to present. That is part of designing properly for the room rather than assuming standard conditions. Minehead has a lot of period housing where nothing is quite straight, and the design and manufacturing process is built around dealing with that accurately.
What happens if something needs adjusting after installation?
Because the same team that designed and made your kitchen also installs it, there is one point of contact if anything needs attention afterwards. We do a full check at the end of installation and again shortly after, and anything that requires adjustment is dealt with directly by us. There is no contractor chain to navigate.
How do I get started?
The first step is a conversation at your home. We come to Minehead, look at your room with you, and talk through what you want the kitchen to do. From that visit we can begin to understand the project properly and give you a clear picture of how it would work. Arrange a design consultation and we will take it from there.
