Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Louth Home
If you are thinking about a new kitchen in Louth, this is where that conversation begins: with your home, your space, and exactly what you need from it.

A bespoke kitchen designed and installed by Mastercraft in a Louth home
Designed Around Your Home
Designing a kitchen well starts before any style decisions are made. It begins with how the room sits in your home: where the light comes from, how you move through the space, how it connects to the rest of the house. Layout and proportions come first. Everything else follows from that.
Louth has a good mix of Georgian market town houses, older period properties, and larger family homes. Each brings its own proportions, ceiling heights, and architectural character. Your kitchen is designed to sit within that, starting from what the building actually gives you, not from a plan drawn for a different kind of space altogether.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, ceilings that follow a roofline: these are resolved at the design stage. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension is accounted for. Nothing is left to be worked around on the day installation starts.
Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs it understands precisely how it will be made, because those two things are never separated.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built in your kitchen from a kit on installation day.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built to exactly the same standard as the ones you do. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of use.
Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual width, a run beneath a sloping ceiling, or something specific to your space, we design and build it exactly as required. No compromises to make it fit a standard module.
Your Louth Kitchen Project, Handled from Start to Finish
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress. There are no handoffs between separate contractors, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward properly because one team holds it all the way through.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time and trying to work out what was intended.
Whether your home is a Georgian townhouse close to the centre of Louth, an older period property with original features, or a larger family home on the edge of town, your project is treated on its own terms. It is not adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design stage.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a bespoke kitchen project typically take from first conversation to installation?
It varies depending on the size and complexity of your kitchen, but as a general guide you should expect the whole process to take around twelve to sixteen weeks from the point your design is signed off through to installation being complete. The design stage before that can take a few weeks depending on how many revisions are needed and how quickly decisions are made. We will give you a clear timeline at the outset so you know exactly where things stand.
What happens at the first design consultation?
We come to your home and look at the space properly. That means taking in the room as it actually is, the dimensions, the light, how you move through it, what is working and what is not. We talk through how you use your kitchen, what you need from it, and what you are hoping to change. It is a practical conversation, not a presentation. There is no obligation at that stage.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
It is genuinely difficult to give a single figure because the range is wide, and the reasons for that are real. Room size, the materials you choose, the appliances you want, the level of storage detail, and the complexity of the cabinetry all have a significant effect on the final cost. As a broad guide, most of the kitchens we design and install fall in the range of £30,000 to £80,000 or more, fully installed. Some projects sit below that, others go well above. The most useful thing we can do is talk through your specific space and give you an honest picture early in the process. What matters is that you are making a considered decision based on what your kitchen will actually cost, not an approximation that shifts later.
Can you design a kitchen that works around an unusual room layout?
Yes, and this is where designing from scratch makes a real difference. If your room has a chimney breast, an awkward alcove, a wall that cannot move, or a ceiling that follows a roofline, those things are worked into the design from the beginning. They are not problems to be worked around on installation day. By the time your kitchen is manufactured, every dimension has been resolved.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. Having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful when a kitchen is part of a wider building project. If you are extending your home or remodelling a significant part of it, the kitchen design needs to be properly integrated with the building work rather than added at the end. We can work alongside your architect or builder, and because we control our own manufacturing, we can adjust to changes in the build programme without things falling apart. It is the kind of project where a single point of responsibility genuinely helps.
What styles of kitchen do you design and make?
We design across a wide range of styles, from traditional shaker kitchens and classic in-frame cabinetry through to clean-lined handleless designs. Because every kitchen is designed individually, the style comes from your home and your preferences, not from a collection we are trying to sell. If you want to explore options before your consultation, our kitchen design and finishes pages give a useful overview.
Where are your kitchens made?
In our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is factory assembled before it leaves, so what arrives at your home is a finished, rigid unit rather than flat-pack components. This matters because factory assembly produces a more consistent result and tighter construction than anything assembled on site. The whole kitchen is built to the exact dimensions of your room, not to a standard size that is then adjusted on the day.
How is installation managed?
Installation is carried out by our own team, the same people who have been involved throughout. They know the design, they know the room, and they know exactly how everything is meant to fit. We manage the process from start to finish, so you are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing different contractors. When the kitchen goes in, it goes in as designed.
Do you handle the full kitchen fit, including plumbing and electrical work?
Yes. The full installation is managed by our team, including the coordination of plumbing and electrical work. You do not need to arrange separate contractors or manage different schedules yourself. One team holds the project from start to finish, which means fewer things fall between the cracks.
I live in a Georgian property in Louth. Are there particular considerations for period homes?
Period properties do bring specific things to consider: ceiling heights, original features worth preserving, walls and floors that may not be perfectly square or level, and rooms where certain things simply cannot be moved. These are not obstacles. They are the starting point for the design. A kitchen designed for a Georgian townhouse in Louth should feel like it belongs in that building, and that comes from working with the architecture rather than ignoring it.
How far in advance do I need to plan?
The earlier you get in touch, the more straightforward the process tends to be. If you have a rough timeframe in mind, even a vague one, it is worth having an initial conversation so we can give you a realistic picture of the schedule. That said, we do not ask you to commit to anything at the first stage. A conversation costs you nothing, and it gives you something useful to work with.
What if I am not sure exactly what I want yet?
That is completely normal at the start of a project. The design consultation is not about you arriving with a finished brief. It is about us looking at your room together and starting to understand what it needs. We ask questions, look at how you live in the space, and build the design from there. You do not need to know what you want before you get in touch.
