Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Llandovery Home

Your kitchen needs to be designed properly for your home, croeso, and that is exactly where we start. Not adapted from a standard range, not adjusted as things progress, but planned from the room itself. The same team handles everything from the first conversation through to the day your kitchen is in place.

Designed Around Your Home

If you are planning a new kitchen in your home in Llandovery, the starting point is always the room itself. The layout, the light, the proportions. Those things have to be understood before anything else can be decided.

Homes in Llandovery vary more than most people expect. A Victorian terrace behaves very differently to a period townhouse or a stone farmhouse out on the edge of town. Each one has its own shape, its own constraints, its own character. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, not adapted from something created for a different kind of home.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings: these are resolved at the design stage, not on the day installation begins. By the time manufacturing starts, every dimension has already been worked out properly.

One team carries the project from design through to installation. The person who designs your kitchen understands exactly how it will be built, so when it arrives, everything fits how the room was planned from the beginning.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. That produces tighter tolerances, a more consistent finish, and cabinetry that holds its structure properly over time.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built just as carefully as the ones you do. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of use.

Because your kitchen is made by the same team who designed it, nothing is limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual width, a run that follows a sloping ceiling, or something specific to your layout, it is designed and built exactly as required. You can see the range of kitchen styles and finishes to get a sense of the direction, but your space sets the real brief.

One Team, from Design to Installation

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress. One team holds everything from start to finish.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time.

Victorian terraces, period townhouses, stone farmhouses: each one brings its own starting point. Your project is considered on its own terms, not adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house. The way your kitchen is designed and made reflects where you actually live, not a generic template applied to your space.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design stage, because they were resolved. That is the point of getting the design right first.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from start to finish?

Most kitchens take around three to five months from the initial design consultation through to the end of installation. That covers the design period, any refinements, manufacturing in our workshop, and the installation itself. If your project is part of a wider renovation or extension, the timeline is planned around the build programme so the kitchen arrives at the right stage.

What happens at the first consultation?

We come to your home in Llandovery and spend time in the room. We look at how the space works, talk through what you need from the kitchen, and discuss how the layout could be approached. There is no presentation and no pitch. It is a straightforward conversation about your room and what would work best in it.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

It depends on the size of your room, the materials you choose, the appliances, and how much storage detail is involved. A bespoke kitchen is a significant investment and the range is wide, but as a general guide most Mastercraft kitchens sit between fifteen and forty thousand pounds, with some larger or more involved projects going beyond that. The right way to think about it is in terms of what your room needs and how you want to use the kitchen long term, rather than a fixed budget before the design has started. We will give you a clear figure once the design is properly understood.

Can you work with unusual room shapes or period features like chimney breasts and alcoves?

Yes, and those are the kinds of rooms where bespoke design makes the most difference. Chimney breasts, alcoves, sloping ceilings and uneven walls are all resolved at the design stage. By the time your kitchen is being made, every dimension has been accounted for. Nothing is being figured out on site.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes, and having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful when a kitchen is part of a wider project. If you are extending your home or opening up a ground floor, the kitchen can be designed in step with the build, so the layout, the structural decisions and the cabinetry all work together from the start. We can liaise directly with your builder or architect and make sure the kitchen arrives at exactly the right point in the programme.

What kitchen styles are available?

Because everything is made to order, you are not limited to a catalogue. The most common directions tend to be shaker kitchens, in-frame kitchens and handleless kitchens, but the style, the finish, the colour and the detail are all decided around your home and your taste. The starting point is always the room and how you want it to feel, not a style chosen from a brochure.

How is the cabinetry made?

Every cabinet is made in our own UK workshop, built to the exact dimensions of your room. They are rigid and fully assembled in the factory before they leave, not flat-pack units put together on site. That makes for a more consistent finish and a more stable structure over time. The same standard applies throughout, from the carcasses and drawer runners through to the doors and interior fittings.

Who installs the kitchen?

Our own installation team handles it. These are the same people who have been part of the project from the manufacturing stage, so they know exactly what has been designed and why. There is no handoff to a separate contractor. They arrive knowing the room, knowing the plans, and knowing what needs to happen.

Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want before getting in touch?

Not at all. Most people come to us with a sense of what is not working in their current kitchen, or a rough idea of the direction they want to go in. That is plenty to start a conversation. The design takes shape through the consultation process, starting from your room and what you need from it.

Do you manage the full project, including any trades needed alongside the kitchen?

Mastercraft handles the design, manufacturing and installation of your kitchen. If your project involves associated work such as plumbing, electrical alterations or plastering, we can advise on how to coordinate that alongside the installation so everything runs in the right sequence. We make sure the kitchen side of the project is fully managed, and we will be clear with you about what else needs to be arranged and when.

How accurate are the measurements before manufacturing begins?

Very accurate. Before anything is made, your room is measured precisely by the team. Those measurements go directly into the manufacturing process. The cabinetry is built to those exact dimensions, which is why everything arrives ready to fit without on-site adjustments. Getting the measurement stage right is one of the most important parts of the whole process.

We are based in Llandovery but considering other companies further away. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Many of our projects are in towns and villages across Carmarthenshire and the wider South Wales area. What matters is that the design consultation happens in your home, so the room is understood properly. The distance to our workshop does not affect the process or the quality of what is made. We come to you at the start, and our team comes to you again for installation.
