Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Eston Home

If you are thinking about a new kitchen in Eston, this is where the process starts: with your home, your room, and how you actually want to use the space.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well begins long before any door style or finish is chosen. The starting point is the room: how light moves through it, where the natural flow is, how it connects to the rest of your home. Get the layout and proportions right first. Everything else follows from that.

Eston has a mix of inter-war semis, solid family homes and older Teesside properties, each with its own shape and logic. A kitchen that works well in one of these homes is not the same as one drawn for a new build or a converted flat. The architecture of your home sets the starting point, and your kitchen is designed within it.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, ceilings that drop at the edges: these things are resolved at the design stage, not on the day the fitters arrive. By the time your kitchen goes into production, every measurement is fixed and every constraint is fully accounted for. Nothing is improvised on site.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs it understands exactly how it will be made, because design and manufacturing sit together under one roof.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet arrives on site rigid and fully assembled, not as flat-pack components put together during installation. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built in your kitchen from a kit on the day.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you rarely see are built to the same standard as the ones you look at constantly. That consistency is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of daily use.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, standard catalogue sizes are not a constraint. If your room needs an unusual cabinet width, a run that follows a sloping ceiling, or a configuration that does not exist in any range, we design and build it exactly as your space requires. The room dictates the dimensions, not the other way around.

Your Kitchen Project, Handled from Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress across different contractors. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility. One team holds it throughout, and everything moves forward properly because of that.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity matters in practice, especially when your room has unusual proportions or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time and trying to work out how to make it fit.

Eston’s inter-war semis and family homes each bring their own starting point. Room proportions, ceiling heights, the way the kitchen connects to adjacent spaces: your project is treated on its own terms. It is not adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house in a different kind of town.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything goes into production. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit properly. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that should have been resolved earlier in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the design process start?

It starts with a visit to your home. We come and see the room properly, talk through how you use the space, what works at the moment and what does not, and what you are hoping to achieve. From that conversation and that visit, we begin the design. Nothing is drawn up in the abstract before we have seen where it is going.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

There is genuine variation, and it is worth being honest about why. The size of your room, the materials you choose, the appliances you want to include, and the level of storage detail all affect the final figure significantly. As a broad guide, most bespoke kitchen projects with Mastercraft sit in the range of £25,000 to £60,000 or more for larger or more complex schemes. Think of it as a long-term investment in your home rather than a purchase. A well-designed, well-built kitchen made for your specific room will outlast anything bought off the shelf by a considerable margin. The best way to get a realistic sense of cost for your project is to have a conversation about what you actually want.

How long does it take from first conversation to a finished kitchen?

It depends on the scale and complexity of your project, but as a general guide you should allow several months from the initial design stage through to installation being complete. Design takes time to get right, manufacturing follows once everything is confirmed, and installation needs to be properly scheduled. We will give you a clear picture of timescales once we understand what your project involves.

Can you work with an unusual room layout or awkward dimensions?

Yes, and this is one of the clearest advantages of designing and making everything ourselves. If your kitchen has a chimney breast, an alcove, a sloping ceiling, or walls that are not quite square, those things are resolved at the design stage. Because your cabinetry is made to the exact measurements of your room, nothing needs to be forced to fit on the day.

What styles of kitchen do you design and make?

We work across a wide range of styles, from traditional shaker kitchens to clean-lined handleless designs. Because everything is made to order, you are not choosing from a fixed catalogue. The style, the finish, the proportions of the doors and frames: all of it is decided around your home and what suits the character of the space. Your designer will work through the options with you once we understand what you are looking for.

Do you supply and fit appliances as well?

Yes. Appliances are specified as part of the design process, not added on afterwards. Getting the appliance selection right early means the cabinetry is designed around them properly, with the right clearances, ventilation requirements and integration details all built into the plans from the start.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes, and having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful when a kitchen is part of a wider building project. If you are extending your home, reconfiguring a ground floor, or working with a builder on a larger scheme, we can coordinate around the build programme and ensure the kitchen design accounts for structural changes, new openings, or revised room dimensions. The earlier we are involved, the more effectively the kitchen can be planned around what the wider project is delivering.

How is the cabinetry made and where?

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is built to the exact dimensions of your room and arrives on site fully assembled and ready to install. We do not use flat-pack construction or outsource manufacturing. Making your kitchen ourselves means we control the quality throughout and are not dependent on external supply chains for the core product.

Who installs the kitchen?

Our own installation team. This is the same team that has been part of the project throughout, so they arrive on site with a proper understanding of what was designed and why. You are not handing your kitchen over to a separate contractor at the final stage. One team holds the whole project.

Will my kitchen be designed around how I actually use it, not just how it looks?

Yes, and that is where the design conversation starts. How you cook, how the household moves through the space, where things need to be stored and how you want to access them: all of that shapes the layout before any decisions are made about finishes or door styles. A kitchen that looks right but does not work well for the way you live is not a successful design.

What happens if something needs attention after the kitchen is installed?

Because Mastercraft designs, makes and installs your kitchen, there is one point of contact if anything needs looking at. You are not trying to work out whether an issue is a design problem, a manufacturing fault, or something from the installation. We are responsible for all of it and we deal with it directly.

Is there any obligation when I get in touch?

None at all. Getting in touch starts a conversation, nothing more. We will talk about your home, your kitchen, and what you are hoping to do. If it makes sense to arrange a visit, we will do that. There is no pressure at any stage, and no commitment required until you are confident you want to go ahead.
