TRUSTED BY HOMEOWNERS ACROSS THE REGION
Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Brecon Home
Your kitchen needs to be designed properly for your home. Not adapted from a standard range, not adjusted as it goes, but planned from the room itself, so everything works as it should once it is in place. From the first conversation to the day it is installed, one team handles the whole thing.

A bespoke kitchen design for a Brecon home by Mastercraft Kitchens
Designed Around Your Home
If you are planning a new kitchen in your home in Brecon, the starting point is always the room itself. Not a catalogue, not a showroom layout. The room, your layout, your home.
Homes in Brecon vary more than most people expect. A stone farmhouse on the edge of the Beacons behaves very differently to a valley terrace or a newer build on the outskirts of town. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around whichever room you have, not adjusted from something created for a different kind of home entirely.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, uneven floors, low beams: these are resolved at the design stage, not on the day of installation. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has already been accounted for.
The designer who plans your kitchen understands how it will be made. The maker understands what was designed and why. That is one team carrying the same knowledge through from the first sketch to the finished room.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet arrives rigid and factory assembled, not as flat-pack components put together on site. That matters because factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built from a kit in a live kitchen.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the doors and the worktops. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished at the same level as everything else. The parts you do not see every day are built to the same standard as the ones you do, and that is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of daily use.
Because your kitchen is made by the same people who designed it, nothing is constrained by catalogue sizes or standard configurations. If your room calls for an unusual width, a run beneath a sloping ceiling, or cabinetry that works around a structural feature, it is designed and built exactly as required. You can read more about how our cabinetry is manufactured and what that means in practice.
One Team, from Design to Installation
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one process, one team. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time.
Brecon homes each bring their own starting point. A stone farmhouse with thick walls and low ceilings is a different project entirely to a valley home with a rear extension or a newer property on the edge of town. Each project is treated on its own terms, designed around the actual room rather than fitted to a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design stage, because those things were resolved long before anyone set foot on site.

Your Home in Brecon. Your Kitchen.
Whether you are remodelling an existing kitchen or starting from scratch, the process is the same. It begins with your room: how it sits, how you use it, what it needs to do. Why People in Brecon Choose Mastercraft
A kitchen at this level is not just about how it looks. It is about whether it has been thought through properly from the start and carried through without compromise. Every kitchen is designed from scratch around your actual room, not pulled from a standard range and adjusted to fit. It is made in our own UK workshop by the same team that designed it, so nothing is lost in translation between design and build. From the first conversation to the day the kitchen is handed over, one team holds the whole project. You are not managing separate designers, manufacturers and fitters. You have one point of contact, one consistent process, and a kitchen built to last.
Design, manufacturing and installation are handled by one team, so nothing falls between the cracks.
Every kitchen is designed from scratch for your room, never adapted from something made for a different home.
Your cabinetry is made in our own UK workshop, rigid and factory assembled before it reaches your home.
Every component, visible or not, is specified and built to the same standard, so the kitchen holds up over time.
The design always starts with your room, your layout, and how you actually use the space.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a bespoke kitchen take from start to finish?
Most kitchens take around three to five months from the initial design consultation to the completed installation. Simpler projects with straightforward rooms can move a little faster. More involved projects, where the kitchen is part of a larger renovation or where the room has significant structural features to work around, take longer. We will give you a realistic programme at the outset so you know what to expect.
What happens at the first consultation?
We come to your home in Brecon and look at the room properly. That means understanding how it sits, where the light falls, how you move through it, and what you need it to do. We talk through your ideas and ask the right questions. Nothing is designed at that stage, but everything useful is understood. That is what makes the design work.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
It varies genuinely, because every kitchen is different. Room size, the number of cabinets, the materials chosen for doors and worktops, the appliances, and the level of storage detail all affect the final figure. As a guide, most Mastercraft kitchens sit between fifteen and forty thousand pounds, though projects at either end of that range are not unusual. The honest answer is that the cost reflects what the room needs and what you want from it. We will talk through that openly once we have seen the space.
Can you work with unusual room shapes or awkward features?
Yes, and it is often where bespoke design makes the most difference. If your Brecon home has thick stone walls, low beams, a chimney breast in an awkward position, or a ceiling that drops at one end, those things are resolved at the design stage. By the time your kitchen is being made, every dimension and every junction has already been worked out. Nothing is left to figure out on site.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. A kitchen that is part of a wider building project, a rear extension, a full ground-floor reconfiguration, or a barn conversion, needs to be designed alongside that work rather than dropped in at the end. Because design and manufacturing sit under one roof with us, it is straightforward to coordinate around a building programme, adjust to changes in the structure as they emerge, and make sure the kitchen fits the space as it will actually be, not as it was originally drawn. That continuity matters on more complex projects.
What kitchen styles are available?
Because every kitchen is designed and made specifically, you are not choosing from a fixed range. Door styles, finishes, colours and interior configurations are all decided around your room and your preferences. Broadly, the most common directions are shaker, in-frame and handleless, though how each one is detailed and finished is specific to your project. We can talk through what suits your home and your way of using the kitchen when we visit.
How is the kitchen manufactured?
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is built rigid and fully assembled before it leaves the workshop, not packed flat and assembled on site. The components are cut and built to the exact dimensions taken from your room, so when the installation team arrives, everything is already made to fit. That precision is only possible because the same team that designed it is overseeing how it is made.
Who manages the installation?
The installation is carried out by our own team, not subcontracted to a third party. They know the design, they know the room, and they know exactly what was made and how it should go together. There is no handoff at that stage. The same consistent team that has been involved from the beginning sees the project through to completion.
Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want before I get in touch?
Not at all. Most people come to us with a general sense of what is not working about their current kitchen, and some ideas about direction, but nothing fixed. That is exactly the right starting point. The design conversation is where things take shape. You do not need a brief prepared before we visit.
How accurate are the measurements before manufacturing begins?
Very accurate. Before anything is made, your room is measured in detail, accounting for walls that are not quite square, floors that are not quite level, and any structural features that affect how the cabinetry needs to sit. Those measurements feed directly into manufacturing. That is why installation runs smoothly: the room has already been fully understood long before any cabinet is built.
Can you work with my existing appliances, or do I need to replace everything?
We can design around appliances you want to keep, or help you specify new ones as part of the project. Appliance positions, sizes and integration requirements are all factored into the design from the start. Whether you are keeping what you have or starting fresh, it is worked out at the design stage rather than accommodated afterwards.
Do you cover homes outside Brecon town itself?
Yes. We work across Brecon and the surrounding area in Powys, including rural properties, farms and homes in the Beacons and the surrounding valleys. Distance or a more remote location does not change how the project is handled. The process is the same wherever you are.
