Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Bicester Home

Whether you are in a modern family home on one of Bicester’s newer estates or an inter-war semi closer to the town centre, your kitchen is designed specifically for your space, not adapted from something drawn for a different house.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well begins with how the space sits in your home. The light, how you move through it, how it connects to the rooms around it. Layout and proportions come first. Where the sink should be, how the cooking area relates to the dining space, where storage needs to be heaviest. Visual decisions follow from that.

Bicester has a wide range of property types. Modern family estates on the newer developments, inter-war semis in the older parts of town, larger family detached homes with more generous room sizes. Each brings its own proportions, ceiling heights, and wall arrangements. Your kitchen is designed to sit within that architecture, not applied over it.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, ceilings that slope at one end: these are resolved at the design stage. Every constraint is worked through before manufacturing begins. By the time your kitchen is being built, every dimension is fully accounted for. Nothing is worked around on installation day.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs it understands exactly how it will be made and what the finished result needs to look like in your room.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything assembled in your kitchen from a kit.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built to the same standard as the ones you do. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over the years.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual width, a run beneath a sloping ceiling, or something particular to your layout, we design and build it exactly as required. The workshop exists to solve those problems properly.

Your Bicester Kitchen Project, Handled From Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress between different contractors. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward because one team holds it from beginning to end.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your space for the first time on installation day.

Bicester homes vary considerably. A kitchen in a new-build family home on one of the town’s expanding estates sits very differently to one in an inter-war semi or a larger detached house. Your project is treated on its own terms, worked through for your specific room, not adjusted to fit a programme drawn up for a different kind of property.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design and planning stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a bespoke kitchen project usually take from start to finish?

It varies depending on the complexity of your kitchen and what is involved in the design. As a general guide, you should expect the process from initial consultation through to completed installation to take somewhere between three and six months. We will give you a clear timeline once we understand your project properly.

What happens at the first consultation?

We come to you. We look at your room, talk through how you use the space, what is working and what is not, and what you want the kitchen to become. It is a practical conversation, not a sales presentation. There is no pressure and no obligation at that stage.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

The honest answer is that it depends on a number of things: the size of your room, the materials you choose for doors and worktops, the appliances, and the level of storage detail involved. A fully bespoke kitchen from Mastercraft is a meaningful investment, and most projects sit in the range where quality, longevity, and proper design are the priorities rather than keeping the number as low as possible. We will give you a clear and accurate figure once we understand what your kitchen needs, and we will not quote something that changes once the project is underway.

Can you design a kitchen for a room with an awkward layout or unusual features?

Yes, and those are often the projects where working with a bespoke manufacturer makes the biggest difference. Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, walls that cannot move: everything is resolved at the design stage. Because we design and make your kitchen ourselves, nothing needs to be forced into a standard configuration.

What kitchen styles and finishes do you offer?

We design across a wide range of styles, from classic in-frame and shaker to clean handleless kitchens, with a broad choice of finishes, colours, and materials. Because nothing is off the shelf, you are not limited to what a catalogue offers. The style is chosen to suit your home and your taste, not the other way around.

Do you supply and fit appliances as well?

Yes. We can advise on appliances that suit your kitchen and your cooking habits, and integrate them properly into the design from the outset. Appliance placement affects the layout, so it is better to decide on them early rather than working them in afterwards.

How is a bespoke kitchen different from one bought through a large kitchen retailer?

The main difference is that a bespoke kitchen is designed and built specifically for your room. Standard retail kitchens are made in fixed sizes and configured to fit as closely as possible. A bespoke kitchen starts from your exact dimensions and works outwards from there. The cabinetry, the layout, the storage detail: all of it is drawn for your space, not adapted from something designed for a different one.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes. Having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful when a kitchen is part of a wider building project. If you are extending your home or reconfiguring the ground floor, we can work alongside your architect or builder from early in the process, so the kitchen design informs the build rather than being fitted around it afterwards. It avoids the kind of problems that come up when the kitchen is left as an afterthought.

Where is my kitchen made?

In our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is factory assembled before it reaches your home. We are not a showroom that outsources manufacturing to a third party. The people who design your kitchen and the people who build it are part of the same operation, which is why the detail carries through from design to finished installation.

Who manages the installation?

Our own installation team. They are familiar with the kitchen before they arrive because it has been designed and built by the same practice. You are not coordinating between separate contractors. One team holds the whole project.

Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want before I get in touch?

Not at all. Some people come to us with very clear ideas and others are starting from scratch. Either way, the first conversation is about your home and your room. We will help you work through the decisions in the right order. You do not need to arrive with a finished brief.

Do you work across the wider Bicester area and nearby towns?

Yes. We work across Bicester and the surrounding area, including towns such as Oxford, Banbury, and Aylesbury. If you are not sure whether we cover your location, just get in touch and we will confirm it.
