Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Arundel Home

Your kitchen needs to be designed properly for your home. Not adapted from a standard range, not adjusted along the way, but planned from the room itself so everything works as it should once it is in place. One team handles the design, the making and the installation, so nothing gets lost between the stages.

Designed Around Your Home

If you are planning a new kitchen in your home in Arundel, the starting point is always the room itself. Its dimensions, its quirks, the way it connects to the rest of the house. That is what the design is built around.

Homes in Arundel vary more than most people expect. A flint-walled period cottage near the castle behaves very differently to a riverside executive build or a newer home on the edge of town. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, not adapted from something created for a different kind of house altogether.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings: these are resolved at the design stage, not on installation day. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has already been accounted for.

The same team that designs your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made. So when it arrives, it already fits how the room has been planned. That is what one team throughout actually means in practice.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made specifically for your home in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built from a kit in your kitchen.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are what determine how well your kitchen holds up over years of use.

Because your kitchen is made in our own workshop, there are no catalogue constraints. If your room needs an unusual run width, cabinetry that follows a sloping ceiling, or something specific to your layout, it is designed and built exactly as required. Your space sets the brief, not a standard size chart.

One Team, from Design to Installation

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one process, one team. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress. Everything moves forward because the same people are responsible for all of it.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time.

Arundel homes bring their own starting points. A period townhouse close to the cathedral, a newer build near the river, a converted barn on the outskirts: each one asks different things of a kitchen design. Your project is treated on its own terms, not pushed into a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design stage. That is what a properly managed project feels like from your side of it.

Why People in Arundel Choose Mastercraft

A kitchen at this level is not just about how it looks. It is about whether it has been thought through properly from the start and carried through without compromise. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team who designed and made it. There is no showroom model you are adapting to your home. The way we work means one team holds the whole project, so nothing falls between the cracks. That is what makes the difference, not just on the day it goes in, but in how the kitchen performs over the years that follow.

The same team designs, builds and installs your kitchen, so nothing is lost between the stages.

Every kitchen is designed from scratch for your home, not adjusted from a standard range.

Your cabinetry is built in our own UK workshop, to the exact dimensions of your room.

Every part of the kitchen is specified to last, including the components you never see.

The design begins with your room, your layout and how your home actually works day to day.

Start with a Conversation

The process starts with a conversation in your home. We look at the room properly and talk through what needs to work.

We come to you, look at the space, and talk through how it could work. From there, you will have a clear sense of what is involved and how the project would take shape.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from start to finish?

Most kitchens take around three to five months from the initial design consultation to installation, depending on how involved the project is. A straightforward kitchen in a regular space will sit toward the shorter end. If your room has more complex features, or you are incorporating a wider renovation, allow a little more time. We will give you a clear programme once the design is underway so you know exactly where things stand.

What happens at the first consultation?

We come to your home and look at the room properly. That means taking in how it sits within the house, where the light comes from, what the flow is like, and what the existing constraints are. We talk through what you want the kitchen to do and how you use it day to day. It is a conversation, not a presentation. Nothing is being sold to you at that stage.

Can you design a kitchen around an unusual room?

Yes, and it is often where bespoke design makes the most difference. If your room has a chimney breast, an awkward alcove, a sloping ceiling or an irregular footprint, those things are worked through at the design stage. By the time your kitchen is made, every dimension has been resolved. Nothing is being figured out on the day of installation.

What kitchen styles do you offer?

The design begins with your home, so the style follows from that rather than from a fixed catalogue. That said, the most common choices for homes in this area tend to be shaker, in-frame and handleless designs. Period properties often suit a more traditional profile and finish, while newer builds or extensions sometimes call for something cleaner and more contemporary. Your designer will talk through the options that suit your room and your taste.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

Bespoke kitchens vary considerably depending on the size of the room, the materials chosen, the appliances specified and the level of storage detail involved. As a general guide, most projects in this range sit somewhere between fifteen and forty thousand pounds for the kitchen itself, with larger or more complex rooms going beyond that. It is a significant investment, and the right way to think about it is in terms of how long the kitchen will last and how well it will work in your home. We will give you a clear picture of costs once we have seen the room and understood what the project involves.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes, and having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly valuable in that context. When a kitchen is part of a wider building project, timings and dimensions are often moving. Because we handle design and manufacturing ourselves, we can respond to changes without the delays you get when those stages are split between different companies. We work alongside architects, builders and project managers regularly, and we are used to fitting into a wider programme.

How is the kitchen manufactured?

Every cabinet is built in our own UK workshop to the exact dimensions of your room. They arrive on site fully assembled and rigid, not as flat-pack components. That means tighter tolerances, a more consistent finish, and a much smoother installation. The same quality standard applies throughout, from the carcasses and internal fittings to the doors and hardware. You can read more about our approach to quality and manufacturing on the site.

Who installs the kitchen?

Our own installation team. These are not subcontracted trades brought in at the end. The people who install your kitchen are part of the same team who designed and built it. They know the plans, they know the room, and they know exactly how every element is meant to go together. That is what makes the installation straightforward.

Do I need to visit a showroom?

No. The starting point is always your home, not a showroom. We come to you, look at the room, and begin the design from there. You are welcome to visit our store if you want to see materials and finishes in person, but there is no requirement to do so. Most of the important decisions are easier to make in the context of your own home anyway.

How accurate are the initial designs?

The initial design is based on a proper survey of your room, so it reflects the actual dimensions and features of your space rather than an approximation. As the project develops and decisions are refined, the design is updated accordingly. By the time manufacturing begins, everything is resolved and signed off. There are no surprises later.

Can you work with period properties in Arundel?

Arundel has a high proportion of older homes, and many of them present the kind of challenges that make bespoke design the only sensible option. Uneven floors, thick walls, non-standard ceiling heights, chimney breasts running through the kitchen: these are all things we design around regularly. A standard kitchen range simply cannot accommodate them properly. Designing from scratch, for the actual room, is where you get a result that genuinely fits.

What areas do you cover near Arundel?

We work across Arundel and the surrounding towns and villages throughout West Sussex. That includes Billingshurst, Petworth, Midhurst and the wider countryside in between. If you are not sure whether your home falls within our area, just get in touch and we can confirm it quickly.
