Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Aberdare Home
Your kitchen needs to be designed properly for your home. Not pulled from a standard range and adjusted to fit, but planned from the room itself, so everything works as it should once it is in place. The same team handles your project from first conversation to final installation, so nothing is lost between the people who design it and the people who build it.

A bespoke kitchen design for a Aberdare home by Mastercraft Kitchens
Designed Around Your Home
If you are planning a new kitchen in your home in Aberdare, the starting point is always the room itself. Its shape, its proportions, how you move through it. That is what the design needs to respond to first.
Homes in Aberdare vary more than most people expect. A stone-built valley terrace behaves very differently to a period farmhouse on the outskirts, or a newer extension with a more open layout. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your specific room, not adapted from something created for a different kind of home altogether.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings: these things are resolved at the design stage, not on installation day. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has already been worked out and accounted for.
The person who designs your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made. One team, one process, throughout. So when your kitchen arrives, it already fits the way the room was planned from the start.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built in your kitchen from a kit.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built to the same standard as the ones you do, and that is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of daily use.
Because your kitchen is made by the same team who designed it, we are not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual width, a run beneath a sloping ceiling, or a configuration specific to your space, it is designed and built exactly as required. Your room sets the brief, not the other way around.
One Team, from Design to Installation
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress. There are no handoffs between separate contractors, no gaps in responsibility.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time.
Aberdare homes come with their own starting points. A stone valley terrace has different constraints to a period farmhouse or a home with a modern rear extension. Your project is treated on its own terms, not squeezed into a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house. If you want to see how the process works in practice, that is a good place to start.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is built. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design stage. It has all been considered and carried through well before anyone sets foot on your site.

Why People in Aberdare Choose Mastercraft
A kitchen at this level is not just about how it looks. It is about whether it has been thought through properly from the start, and carried through without compromise. Every kitchen is designed from scratch for the specific home, never adjusted from a standard range to fit a room it was not created for. Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop by the same team who designed it, so what was planned is what gets built. There is no showroom model you are being asked to choose from: the design comes from your room, your space, your home. And because one team holds the whole project, from the initial design through to the final installation, it is built to last, and built to work properly for the long term.
The same team handles your project from first design conversation through to installation day, with nothing handed off between them.
Every kitchen is designed from scratch for your specific home, not adapted from a standard configuration made for somewhere else.
Your cabinetry is manufactured in our own UK workshop, with every cabinet factory assembled before it arrives at your home.
The same standard of finish runs through the whole kitchen, including the parts you will not see every day, so it holds up over time.
The design always begins with your room: its shape, its layout, its particular constraints, and nothing else.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
It is genuinely difficult to give a single figure, because the range is wide and the variables are real. Room size, the materials you choose, the appliances you want to include, and the level of storage detail all make a significant difference to the final cost. A smaller, more straightforward kitchen will sit at a different level to a larger room with extensive cabinetry, a more complex layout, and high-specification finishes throughout. What we can say is that a Mastercraft kitchen is a considered investment, and the value is in the fact that it is designed, manufactured and installed by one team, built specifically for your home, and made to last for a very long time. When you speak with us, we can give you a realistic picture of what your project is likely to involve based on your space and what you are hoping to achieve.
What happens at the first design consultation?
We come to your home in Aberdare and spend time in the room with you. We look at the space properly: the dimensions, the natural light, where things currently sit and where they could work better. We talk through how you use your kitchen, what is not working about it now, and what you want from the new one. It is a conversation, not a presentation. Nothing is decided at that stage. It is simply where a good design process begins.
How long does the process take from start to finish?
Most kitchens take around three to five months from the initial design stage through to installation, depending on how involved the project is. A more straightforward kitchen in a simpler room may move a little faster. A larger project, or one that is part of a wider renovation, may take longer. We will give you a clear picture of the expected timeline once we have understood your room and the scope of the project.
Can you design a kitchen for a room with unusual features, like a chimney breast, low ceiling or awkward alcove?
Yes, and these are often the projects where bespoke design makes the most difference. Because your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, features like chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, deep alcoves or irregular walls are worked into the design at the planning stage. They are resolved on paper before anything is built, so by the time your kitchen is manufactured, every dimension accounts for what the room actually looks like.
What kitchen styles are available?
There is no fixed catalogue you choose from. The style is arrived at through the design process, based on your home, your preferences and what suits the room. That said, the most common directions tend to be shaker, in-frame and handleless designs, each of which works differently depending on the property and the room. Your designer will talk through the options that make sense for your specific home.
How is the kitchen manufactured?
Every cabinet is made in our own UK workshop, built to the exact dimensions of your room. Cabinets are rigid and factory assembled before they leave, so they arrive at your home as finished units, not flat-pack components. This produces a tighter, more consistent result than anything assembled on site from a kit, and it means the installation process is clean and straightforward.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. If your kitchen is part of a wider building project, such as a rear extension, a full ground-floor remodel or a significant renovation, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly valuable. It means the kitchen design can be coordinated properly with the wider works, dimensions and services can be factored in early, and there is a single point of accountability for the kitchen element throughout. We are used to working alongside architects, builders and project managers, and we can advise on where the kitchen needs to be considered within the wider programme.
How does installation work, and how long does it take?
Because your kitchen is made to the exact measurements of your room, installation is a planned and straightforward process. Everything arrives ready to fit, not requiring adjustment to compensate for things that were not thought through earlier. Depending on the size and complexity of your kitchen, installation typically takes between five and ten working days. Your installation team is part of the same company that designed and built your kitchen, so they already know the project in detail before they arrive.
Do I need to visit a showroom?
No. The design process begins in your home, not in a showroom. We come to you, look at your room, and build the design around your actual space. You are welcome to visit our store if you would like to see materials, finishes and cabinetry in person, but it is not a requirement. The starting point is always your room.
Will one person handle my project throughout, or will I be passed between different people?
You will have a consistent point of contact throughout your project. The designer who works on your kitchen understands the room, the decisions made and the reasons behind them. Because design, manufacturing and installation all sit within the same company, there is no handover between separate businesses at different stages. The same team holds the project from start to finish.
We are based in Aberdare but close to Mountain Ash and Tonypandy. Do you work in those areas too?
Yes. We work regularly across the whole of Rhondda Cynon Taf and the surrounding area, including Mountain Ash and Tonypandy. The approach is exactly the same wherever your home is: we come to you, look at the room, and design from there.
How do I get started?
The first step is a conversation. Get in touch and we will arrange a time to visit your home in Aberdare, look at the room properly, and talk through what you are hoping to achieve. There is no paperwork to complete beforehand. Just tell us a little about your project and we will take it from there.
