Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Aberaeron Home
Your kitchen needs to be designed properly for your home, croeso, and that is where everything starts. Not adapted from a standard range, not adjusted as it goes, but planned from the room itself by the same team who will build and install it.

A bespoke kitchen design for a Aberaeron home by Mastercraft Kitchens
Designed Around Your Home
If you are planning a new kitchen in your home in Aberaeron, the starting point is always the room itself. The layout, the light, the proportions. Everything else follows from understanding that space properly first.
Homes in Aberaeron vary more than most people expect. A coastal cottage behaves very differently to a Victorian terrace in town, or a newer family house on the edge of the valley. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, not adapted from something created for a different kind of home entirely.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings: these are resolved at the design stage, not on installation day. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has already been accounted for.
One team handles the design, the making and the fitting. The person who designs your kitchen understands exactly how it will be built, so when it arrives, it already fits how the room has been planned.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. That factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built from a kit in your kitchen.
The same standard runs through every part of the kitchen, not just the doors and worktops you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level. The parts you rarely look at are built to hold up just as well as the ones you do.
Because your kitchen is made in our own workshop, standard catalogue sizes do not set the limits. If your room needs an unusual width, a run that follows a sloping ceiling, or a configuration specific to your space, it is designed and built exactly as your room requires. You can read more about how that quality is built in from the start.
One Team, from Design to Installation
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress. Everything moves forward properly because the same people hold it throughout.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time.
A coastal property near the harbour brings different considerations to a stone-built valley home or a Victorian terrace closer to the town centre. Each project is treated on its own terms, designed around what your room actually is, not adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house entirely.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design stage. The process is set up so that by the time the team arrives, the work has already been done.

Why People in Aberaeron Choose Mastercraft
A kitchen at this level is not just about how it looks. It is about whether it has been thought through properly from the start and carried through without compromise. Your kitchen is designed from scratch, around your room, by a team who will also build it and install it. There is no showroom model you are adapting to fit your home. Everything begins with your space. It is made in our own UK workshop to the exact dimensions of your room, and the same team holds the project from the first visit to the final day on site. That is simply how the process works, and it is why the result holds up.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens at the first consultation?
We come to your home in Aberaeron and look at the room with you. That means taking in the layout, the light, how you use the space, what is and is not working at the moment. From there we can start talking through how a new kitchen could be designed around it. There is no presentation, no showroom pitch. It is a proper conversation about your home.
How long does a bespoke kitchen take from start to finish?
Most kitchens take around three to five months from the initial design stage through to installation. That includes the design and planning period, manufacturing time in our workshop, and the installation itself. More complex projects, particularly those involving larger rooms or structural changes, may take a little longer. We will give you a clear picture of the timeline once we understand your project.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
It depends significantly on the size of the room, the materials and finishes you choose, the appliances involved, and how much storage detail the design requires. A straightforward kitchen in a smaller room will sit at a different level to a large open-plan space with extensive cabinetry and premium worktops. What we can say is that a Mastercraft kitchen is a considered investment, and every pound goes into what is actually in your home rather than into a showroom or franchise model. Once we have seen your room and understood the brief, we can talk through costs clearly and honestly.
Can you work with unusual room shapes or awkward features?
Yes, and that is often where bespoke design makes the biggest difference. Alcoves, sloping ceilings, chimney breasts, rooms that are not square: all of these are resolved at the design stage. Because your kitchen is drawn specifically for your room and manufactured to those exact dimensions, there is no need for workarounds or filler panels on site.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. When a kitchen is part of a wider building project, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful. We can work alongside architects, builders and structural work, design around what the space will become rather than what it is now, and time manufacturing so that the kitchen arrives when the room is ready for it. There are no separate suppliers to coordinate between. One team holds the kitchen side of the project throughout.
What kitchen styles do you offer?
Because everything is designed from scratch, the style is entirely your choice. Shaker and in-frame kitchens tend to suit the period properties common in Aberaeron very well, while handleless designs work well in more contemporary spaces. We will talk through what suits your home, your room and how you want the kitchen to feel. You can also browse a broader range of kitchen styles and finishes to get a sense of what is possible.
How is the cabinetry made?
Every cabinet is built in our own UK workshop to the exact dimensions of your room. They are rigid and fully assembled before they leave the factory, not flat-pack units put together on site. That means tighter tolerances, a more consistent finish, and a kitchen that behaves like a piece of furniture rather than something assembled from components.
What happens during installation?
By the time the installation team arrives, everything has already been resolved. Your cabinetry is manufactured to the measurements of your room, the design is fully detailed, and nothing is being worked out on site. The installation itself typically takes between five and ten working days depending on the size of the project. The same team who have been involved throughout handle the fitting.
Do I need to find my own appliances or trades?
No. We handle the project as a whole. That includes specifying and sourcing appliances where needed, coordinating any electrical or plumbing work required, and managing the installation from start to finish. You do not need to manage separate contractors or chase progress between different suppliers. One point of contact, one process.
Is my kitchen designed specifically for my home or adapted from a range?
It is designed specifically for your home. There is no standard range being adjusted to fit your room. Your kitchen starts as a blank page and is drawn around your space, your layout and how you actually use your kitchen. The dimensions, the storage configuration, the style: all of it comes from your room, not from a catalogue.
How far do you travel for projects in the Aberaeron area?
We work regularly across Ceredigion and the surrounding area, including Aberaeron and the towns and villages nearby. If you are unsure whether your home falls within our area, just get in touch and we will let you know. Distance has rarely been a reason we have not been able to take a project on in this part of Wales.
When is the right time to get in touch?
As early as you can. If you are planning a new kitchen, even at the early thinking stage, a conversation now gives the design process the time it needs to work properly. Rushed timelines rarely produce the best results, and the most straightforward projects are usually the ones where there has been plenty of time to design carefully before manufacturing begins.
