Kitchen Transformation in Poulton le Fylde

Before and After. The Mastercraft Difference.

A kitchen is more than a change of cabinets. It is a complete transformation of space, light, flow, and function. See how considered design and skilled making turn everyday rooms into places designed for living.

1. The Old Kitchen

A Closed-In, Broken Layout

The room felt restricted and disconnected, with a layout that limited how you could move and use the space. The kitchen and utility areas worked against each other rather than as one, making the whole space feel smaller than it was.

Dated Cabinetry and Limited Function

The existing units had outlived their purpose, with a mix of finishes and inefficient storage that didn’t support everyday use. Worktop space was fragmented, leaving very little room for proper preparation.

A Cramped Utility with No Real Use

The adjoining utility room was tight and underused, offering little in the way of practical storage. There was no dedicated space for coats, shoes, or day-to-day items, adding to the overall sense of clutter.

2. What We Did.

Opening the Space and Bringing in Light

To completely change how the room worked, we knocked through into the cramped utility area, allowing more light to move through the space and creating the footprint needed for a social kitchen layout. This gave you the opportunity to introduce a breakfast island and re-centre the room around how you actually live.

Creating a Practical Boot Room Area

Within the new layout, part of the former utility space was redefined as a dedicated boot room. This now gives you proper storage for coats, shoes, and everyday items, keeping the main kitchen clear and organised.

Fully Rebuilt, Properly Finished

The entire room was taken back to a shell and rebuilt, including a full rewire, new plastering, ceiling lighting, and cabinet lighting. This ensures the space not only looks right but performs reliably behind the scenes.

A Mastercraft Kitchen Designed Around You

Your Aldana kitchen in porcelain, paired with a reed green island, creates a balanced contrast across the space. Calacatta Gold quartz worktops run throughout, bringing a consistent, durable surface that works visually and practically.

Storage and Appliances, Built for Everyday Use

A breakfast pantry was designed into your cabinetry, giving you a dedicated, organised space for daily essentials. Your AEG appliance suite, including tall fridge and freezer, pyrolytic oven, combi microwave oven, and warming drawer, is built neatly into the layout for ease of use.

Making Everything Easy to Reach

Every cupboard has been designed with accessibility in mind, including pull-out baskets, internal storage, and pull-down wall units. The result is a kitchen where everything is visible, reachable, and simple to use.

Finishing the Space Properly

New Invictus flooring runs throughout, tying the entire room together, while two tall radiators provide efficient heating without interrupting the layout or flow of the design.

3. The Result

A Light, Open Kitchen That Flows

What was once a closed and awkward layout is now a bright, open space that works as one. The connection between areas feels natural, with the island creating a central point for both everyday use and socialising.

A Kitchen That Works Effortlessly

Everything now has its place and purpose. From the integrated appliances to the accessible storage and dedicated boot room, the space is easier to use, easier to move through, and far more suited to the way you live day to day.
