The Manrose 100mm Gravity Shutter Grille is the outside end of your cooker hood ducting, fitted to the external wall where extracted air leaves your home. It's chosen by Mastercraft Kitchens as part of the ventilation for extractor hood installations, sitting neatly on the brickwork rather than inside the kitchen itself.
The grille has a gravity shutter inside it, which stays closed when the extractor isn't running. This stops draughts and rain finding their way back into the ducting, and it also keeps insects out. When the hood is switched on, the shutter opens with the airflow to let steam and cooking odours escape, then closes again once the fan stops.
