Internal In-frame Dovetail drawer with spacers, 450mm deep, 500mm wide, 90mm high, walnut
Product Details
Brand: Mastercraft

This is an internal drawer box built specifically for in-frame kitchen cabinets, finished in a lacquered walnut that looks good even when the drawer is fully open. Dovetail joints hold the corners together, a method that's been used in drawer making for centuries because it doesn't loosen with use. At 450mm deep, 500mm wide and 90mm high, it sits behind your drawer front and does the daily work of holding everything from cutlery to spice jars.

The spacers are included because in-frame cabinets have a different structure to standard units. The face frame sits in front of the carcass, so the drawer box needs those spacers to line up correctly and run smoothly on its runners. Without them, the drawer wouldn't sit true within the frame.

Benefits

  • Dovetail joints mean the corners stay tight and square over years of daily opening and closing, rather than working loose the way glued or stapled boxes can.
  • The walnut lacquered finish is easy to wipe down and looks right if you catch a glimpse of the drawer interior when it's open, rather than a plain white or unfinished board.
  • Spacers are supplied to suit in-frame construction, so the drawer runs true within the frame without extra fitting work.
  • At 90mm high, it suits cutlery trays, utensils, spices and smaller kitchen items well, though it's not the choice for taller
