Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Muswell Hill Home
Your kitchen needs to be designed properly for your home. Not adapted from a standard range, not adjusted as it goes, but planned from the room itself so everything works as it should once it is in place. The same team handles design, manufacturing and installation, so nothing falls through the gap between them.

A bespoke kitchen design for a Muswell Hill home by Mastercraft Kitchens
Designed Around Your Home
If you are planning a new kitchen in your home in Muswell Hill, the starting point is always the room itself. Its proportions, its layout, its quirks. That is what the design is built around, before anything else is decided.
Homes in Muswell Hill vary more than most people expect. An Edwardian semi behaves very differently to a converted warehouse or a modern apartment. Each has its own layout, its own constraints, its own character. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, not adapted from something created for a different kind of home.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings: these are resolved at the design stage, not on the day of installation. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has already been accounted for.
The designer who plans your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made. So when it arrives, it already fits how the room has been planned. One team carries the project from start to finish, and that continuity matters.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made specifically for your home in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is rigid and fully assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. That factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built in your kitchen from a kit.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built as carefully as the ones you do, and that is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of daily use.
Because your kitchen is made in our own workshop, it is not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual width, a run beneath a sloping ceiling, or something specific to your space, it is designed and built exactly as required. Your space sets the brief, and the cabinetry follows from that.
Handled from Start to Finish
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress. There are no handoffs between separate contractors, no gaps in responsibility.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time.
Muswell Hill homes each bring their own starting point. A converted warehouse has different demands to an Edwardian semi or a modern apartment. Your project is treated on its own terms, designed for your specific room rather than adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house altogether.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no last-minute adjustments to compensate for things that were not thought through at the design stage, because they were already resolved long before anyone set foot on site. If you want to understand how the process works in full, that is set out clearly.

Different ways your kitchen can be approached

Every Mastercraft kitchen is designed, built and installed by our own in-house team

Your Home in Muswell Hill. Your Kitchen.
Whether you are remodelling an existing kitchen or starting completely from scratch, the process begins the same way: with your room and what it actually needs. Your kitchen is designed around that, manufactured to fit it, and installed by the same team who planned it from the beginning. Everything has been understood from the start and carried through by the same people, so by the time installation day arrives, nothing is being worked out for the first time.

Why People in Muswell Hill Choose Mastercraft
A kitchen at this level is not just about how it looks. It is about whether it has been thought through properly from the start and carried through without compromise. Your kitchen is designed from scratch around your room, not pulled from a standard range and adjusted to fit. It is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home, by the same team who designed it. One team handles everything from the first conversation to the final installation, so there are no gaps, no handoffs, and no one arriving on site without a full understanding of what was planned and why. Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from start to finish?
Most kitchens take around three to five months from the initial design consultation through to the end of installation. The design stage typically takes four to six weeks, depending on how many revisions are needed and how quickly decisions are made. Manufacturing takes around eight to ten weeks once the design is finalised and signed off. Installation usually runs one to two weeks depending on the size of the project. If your kitchen is part of a larger building project or renovation, we can align the programme with your wider works.
What happens at the first consultation?
We come to your home. That is the only way to understand the room properly. We look at the space, talk through how you use your kitchen, what is working in the current layout and what is not, and discuss any practical constraints. From there we can start to shape a design brief. It is a conversation, not a presentation, and it takes as long as it needs to.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
It varies quite a bit, and that is because the price is genuinely determined by your room and your choices rather than a fixed menu. The size of the kitchen, the materials you choose, the number of cabinets, how the storage is detailed inside, the worktop specification and the appliances you include all affect the final figure. As a general guide, most Mastercraft kitchens start from around fifteen thousand pounds and typically sit between twenty and fifty thousand pounds for a fully fitted kitchen including installation. Larger or more complex projects with premium materials can go beyond that. The consultation will give you a much clearer picture once we understand your specific room and what you need from it.
Can you work with unusual room shapes or awkward spaces?
Yes, and it is one of the things a bespoke approach handles well. Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, restricted ceiling heights, non-standard room widths: all of these are resolved during the design stage rather than on installation day. Because your kitchen is designed and built specifically for your room, there is no standard template being forced to fit. If your space is unusual, the design works with that rather than around it.
What kitchen styles do you offer?
Because every kitchen is designed from scratch, style is a choice rather than a constraint. Kitchen styles and finishes range from classic in-frame and shaker designs through to fully handleless and contemporary layouts. The right style depends on your home, your taste and how the kitchen sits within the wider space. We talk through all of that as part of the design process.
How is the cabinetry manufactured?
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is rigid construction and fully assembled before it leaves the factory. Nothing arrives at your home as flat-pack components. The advantage of that is consistency: the tolerances are tighter, the finish is more even, and the structure is stronger than anything assembled on site. The manufacturing process is built around your specific dimensions, so what is made in the workshop is made to fit your room exactly.
Do you manage the full installation or do I need to arrange other trades?
Mastercraft handles the full installation. You do not need to coordinate separate tradespeople or manage the project yourself. Our installation team fits the cabinetry, and we work alongside plumbers, electricians and any other specialists needed as part of the programme. One point of contact, one team responsible for the outcome.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes, and having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful in that situation. When a kitchen is part of a wider building project, the design needs to account for structural changes, new openings, altered ceiling heights or revised floor levels. Because we control the design and the manufacturing, we can adjust drawings and dimensions as the build progresses without starting from scratch. It also means your kitchen can be manufactured in parallel with the construction work, so it is ready to install as soon as the room is ready, rather than adding weeks to the programme.
Will I deal with the same people throughout the project?
Yes. The designer who works with you at the start stays involved through the project, and the manufacturing and installation teams work from the same drawings and design brief. You are not passed between departments or handed to a different team once the design is done. That continuity is part of how the project stays on track.
How accurate are the measurements, and when are they taken?
A full site survey is carried out before manufacturing begins. Your room is measured precisely, including any irregularities in the walls, floor or ceiling. Those measurements inform the final manufacturing drawings, so the cabinetry is built to the exact dimensions of your room rather than to a generic plan. Nothing is manufactured until the survey has been completed and the drawings confirmed.
What if my kitchen is part of a listed building or a property with heritage restrictions?
It is worth mentioning this early in the process. Muswell Hill has a number of properties within conservation areas or with specific planning conditions, particularly the older period houses. We have worked in these situations before and can design around the constraints involved, whether that means avoiding certain fixings, working within height restrictions or specifying materials that suit the character of the building. It does not prevent a well-designed kitchen, but it needs to be factored in from the start.
How do I get started?
The first step is arranging a design consultation at your home. We come to you, look at the room, and have a conversation about what you need from your kitchen. There is no obligation beyond that. If it makes sense to go further, we put together an initial design proposal and talk through it with you. You can arrange a consultation by getting in touch directly through the contact page.
