Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Flint Home

If you are thinking about a new kitchen in Flint, everything starts with your home, your room, your space, and how you want it to work.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well begins before any door style or finish is chosen. It starts with how your room sits in the house, where the light comes from, how you move through the space, how it connects to what is around it. Layout and proportions are resolved first. Everything else follows from that.

Flint has a mix of Victorian terraces, inter-war semis, and family homes, and each brings its own proportions. The ceiling heights, window positions, and room shapes in an Edwardian terrace are quite different from those in a 1930s semi. Your kitchen is designed to sit within your architecture, drawn from your specific room, not adapted from something created for a different kind of house.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, sloping ceilings: these things are worked through at the design stage, not discovered on installation day. By the time your kitchen goes into production, every dimension has been accounted for. The room has been measured precisely, and the design has been drawn around what is actually there.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The designer who plans your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made, because design and manufacturing sit together under one roof.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is assembled rigid before it leaves the workshop, not delivered as flat-pack components to be put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built in your kitchen from a kit on the day.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, and interior fittings are all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you open and close ten times a day, the parts tucked inside a corner unit: they are built to the same standard. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of use.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room needs an unusual cabinet width, a run of units beneath a sloping ceiling, or something specific to how your space is shaped, we design and build it exactly as required. There is no standard range to work around.

Your Flint Kitchen Project, Handled From Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress updates. There are no handoffs between contractors, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward properly because one team holds it throughout.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The people who build it know what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, particularly when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time and working out how to make them fit.

Flint homes cover a range of periods and building types. A Victorian terrace brings different starting conditions from a 1930s semi or a larger family home on the edge of town. Your project is approached on its own terms, designed around what your room actually is, not adjusted to fit a programme drawn up for a different kind of house.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything goes into production. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not properly resolved before manufacturing started.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does bespoke mean, and how is it different from a fitted kitchen I could buy elsewhere?

A bespoke kitchen from Mastercraft is designed individually for your room, from scratch, every time. Nothing comes from a standard range or catalogue. The cabinet sizes, the layout, the way the kitchen responds to your room's proportions: all of it is drawn specifically for your space. A fitted kitchen from most suppliers is built around standard unit sizes and adapted to your room as best as those sizes allow. With a bespoke kitchen, the room sets the dimensions, not the other way round.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

Bespoke kitchens vary considerably in cost, and giving a single figure would not be honest or useful. The range depends on the size of your room, the materials and finishes you choose, the appliances you include, and the level of storage detail involved. A compact kitchen designed for a Victorian terrace will cost less than a large open-plan kitchen in a substantial family home. What we can say is that Mastercraft kitchens represent a serious investment, typically starting from the mid-tens of thousands and rising from there depending on the scope of the project. The best way to get a clear picture is to have a conversation about your specific room. We will be straightforward with you about what things cost.

How does the design process work from the very beginning?

It starts with a visit to your home. We look at the room properly, take measurements, and talk through how you want the kitchen to work, what you need from it, and what matters most to you. From there we develop a design that responds to your space. You see the design before anything is committed to production, and we work through it with you until it is right. Nothing is made until you are happy with what has been designed.

Can you work with unusual room shapes or awkward spaces?

Yes, and this is one of the clearest advantages of having everything designed and made to measure. Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, off-square walls, rooms with unusual proportions: all of these are resolved at the design stage. Your kitchen is drawn around what the room actually is. Because we manufacture everything ourselves, there are no standard sizes constraining what can be made.

What styles and finishes are available?

We work across a wide range of styles, from traditional in-frame kitchens to contemporary handleless designs, and everything between. The right style depends on your home, your own preferences, and how the kitchen sits within the wider house. We will talk through the options with you and help you find what works for your specific space. Because nothing is off-the-shelf, you are not limited to what happens to be in a range at a given time.

How long does it take from first conversation to a finished kitchen?

The overall timescale depends on the size and complexity of your project. As a general guide, you should expect the design and consultation stage to take a few weeks, followed by a manufacturing period before installation begins. We will give you a clear timeline once we understand the scope of your project. We plan the schedule carefully so that installation fits around your home and your life as smoothly as possible.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes. A kitchen that is part of a wider building project, an extension, a ground-floor reconfiguration, or a significant renovation, benefits particularly from having design and manufacturing under one roof. When the kitchen is being designed at the same time as structural or building work is being planned, we can work closely with your architect or builder to make sure everything is coordinated properly. Dimensions, services, openings: these things are resolved together rather than one following on awkwardly from the other. It is a situation where a single point of responsibility makes a real difference.

Who carries out the installation, and will the same people be involved throughout?

Installation is carried out by our own team, not subcontracted out. The same people who have been involved in your project from the design stage are involved through to completion. That continuity matters. Nobody arrives on installation day seeing your kitchen plans for the first time. Everything has been planned, made, and brought together by one team who understands your room and your project.

How are the cabinets made, and why does it matter?

Every cabinet is assembled rigid in our own UK workshop before it is delivered to your home. This is different from the flat-pack model used by most kitchen suppliers, where units are assembled on site from components. Factory assembly produces a more accurate, consistent result. The tolerances are tighter, the structure is more stable, and the finish is better. When your kitchen arrives, it is ready to install as built, not put together in your home from a kit.

What happens if something needs adjusting after installation?

Because we handle the whole project from design through to installation, there is one clear point of contact if anything needs attention after the kitchen is in place. You are not left trying to work out which contractor is responsible for which part. We stand behind what we make and install, and any snagging is dealt with properly and promptly.

Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want before getting in touch?

Not at all. Many people come to us with a general sense that their kitchen is not working but without a clear picture of what they want instead. That is a perfectly good starting point. The early conversations are there to help you think through your priorities, understand what is possible for your room, and begin to shape what the right kitchen looks like for your home. You do not need to arrive with decisions already made.

Do you cover Flint and the surrounding villages in Flintshire?

Yes. We work across Flint and the wider Flintshire area, as well as into the neighbouring towns and villages across North Wales and into Cheshire. If you are unsure whether your location is within our working area, just get in touch and we will confirm it straightforwardly.
