Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Lincoln Home

If you are planning a new kitchen in Lincoln, this is where it starts: with your home, your room, and what you actually need from the space.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well begins with the room itself. The light, how you move through the space, where it connects to the rest of the house. Layout and proportions come first. What the kitchen looks like follows from those decisions. Getting those fundamentals right is what makes the difference between a kitchen that works and one that just fills the space.

Lincoln has a strong stock of Georgian townhouses, Victorian semis, and properties in and around the cathedral quarter. Each brings its own proportions, its own structural character. A kitchen for a tall-ceilinged Georgian room needs to be designed for that space. The same is true for a Victorian semi with a bay, or a period property where the original layout shapes what is possible. Your kitchen is designed to sit within that architecture, not placed over it.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot be moved, ceilings that slope: these things are worked out at the design stage, not on installation day. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension has been accounted for. The cabinetry is drawn to fit your specific room, not adjusted to approximate it.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs it understands exactly how it will be made and what your room requires. That connection runs through every stage of your project.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything assembled from a kit in your kitchen. That difference matters, particularly in a period property where precision fitting is everything.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you open and close a hundred times a week are built to hold up to that. That is what determines how well a kitchen ages over ten or twenty years, not just how it looks on the day it goes in.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not working from a catalogue of standard sizes. If your room needs a cabinet built to an unusual width, a run that sits beneath a sloping ceiling, or something specific to your space, we design and build it exactly as required. There is no compromise to fit a standard module.

Your Kitchen Project in Lincoln, Handled From Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress between different contractors. There are no handoffs and no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward properly because one team holds the project throughout. You always know who to speak to.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, particularly when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time. The whole team works from the same detailed knowledge of your space. You can see how that process works in practice before you commit to anything.

Lincoln’s housing stock is varied, and no two projects here start from the same place. A cathedral quarter townhouse, a Victorian semi in the west end of the city, a Georgian property close to the Bail: each brings its own starting point. Your project is treated on its own terms. The programme is built around what your home requires, not adjusted to fit a standard process drawn up for a different kind of house.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for measurements that were not fully resolved at the design stage. The preparation is done properly beforehand so that installation goes as it should.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you design and install kitchens in Lincoln specifically, or do you cover the whole county?

We work across Lincoln and throughout Lincolnshire. Whether your home is in the cathedral quarter, the west end of the city, or further out into the county, we cover the area. The process is the same wherever you are: we come to you, survey your space properly, and design from there.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

The honest answer is that it varies significantly, and the range is wide for good reason. Room size, the materials you choose, the level of storage detail, appliances, worktops: all of these affect the overall figure. A straightforward kitchen in a modest space will cost considerably less than a large, complex room fitted with premium materials throughout. What we can say is that our kitchens represent a serious investment, typically starting from the mid-tens of thousands and rising from there depending on the scope of the project. The best way to get a meaningful figure is to talk through your specific room. A consultation costs nothing, and it gives you a clear picture of what your project is likely to involve.

What happens at the first design consultation?

We come to your home, look at the room properly, and talk through what you need. It is a practical conversation, not a sales presentation. We look at the space, talk about how you use your kitchen, what is working at the moment and what is not, and begin to get a clear picture of what the design needs to achieve. There is no obligation, and nothing is signed at that stage.

How long does the whole process take, from first conversation to installation?

It depends on the complexity of your project, but as a guide, you should expect several months between the initial consultation and installation. Design takes time when it is done properly, and manufacturing your kitchen to the exact dimensions of your room cannot be rushed. We will give you a realistic timeline at the outset and keep you informed throughout.

My kitchen has some awkward features, a sloping ceiling, an alcove, a chimney breast. Can you work around those?

Yes, and those kinds of features are exactly where bespoke design earns its place. Because we design and build your kitchen ourselves, we can work to any dimension your room requires. Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, irregular walls: these are resolved at the design stage, drawn to fit precisely, and built accordingly. Nothing is worked around on the day of installation.

What kitchen styles do you offer?

We do not work from a fixed catalogue, but we design across a wide range of styles, from traditional in-frame cabinetry to contemporary handleless kitchens. The style is chosen to suit your home and your taste, not the other way round. If you want to get a sense of the range before we speak, you can explore kitchen styles and finishes on our website.

Where are your kitchens manufactured?

In our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is built specifically for your home, factory assembled before it leaves, and delivered ready to install. We do not use flat-pack components or third-party manufacturers. Building in our own facility means we control the quality at every stage.

Who carries out the installation?

Our own installation team, the same people who have been involved throughout the project. They know the design, they know your room, and they know exactly how everything has been built. There are no separate contractors brought in for fitting. One team handles it from beginning to end.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes, and a kitchen that forms part of a wider renovation or extension project is often where having design and manufacturing under one roof makes the most practical difference. When your kitchen is being designed at the same time as structural work or a new layout is being finalised, having a single team who can work closely with your builder and adapt quickly to changes on site is genuinely valuable. We are experienced in working within larger building projects and can coordinate our design and manufacturing timeline to fit around yours.

I am renovating a period property in Lincoln. Will you understand the constraints involved?

Yes. Many of the projects we take on in Lincoln are in Georgian and Victorian properties, where original features, structural constraints, and period proportions all shape what is possible. We design around what is there, not in spite of it. Understanding the architecture is part of the process.

Can I see examples of kitchens you have designed and installed?

Yes. You can look through our portfolio and get a sense of the range of projects we have completed. When you speak with one of our designers, they can also walk you through projects that are relevant to your type of home and the style of kitchen you have in mind.

How do I get started?

Get in touch and we will arrange a visit to your home. There is no commitment involved at that stage. We come to you, look at the room, and have a proper conversation about what you want to achieve. From there, you will have a clear sense of how the project would work and whether we are the right fit for it.
