Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Oadby Home

If you are planning a new kitchen in Oadby, we design it from scratch around your specific home, your room, your proportions, the way you actually use the space.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well starts with the room. The light, how you move through it, where it opens onto the garden or connects to a dining space. Layout and proportions come first. Which wall takes the run of cabinetry, where the island sits, how the space flows. Visual decisions follow from that once the structure is right.

Oadby has a good range of housing, large Edwardian and Victorian semis, detached family homes, quality suburban properties built across several eras. Each brings its own proportions. A wide Victorian kitchen with high ceilings asks for something different from a rear extension on a detached house. Your kitchen is designed to sit within that architecture, not applied over it.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, ceilings that slope where a run of cabinetry needs to go: these things are resolved at the design stage. Every dimension is accounted for before manufacturing begins. Nothing is left to be worked around on the day installation starts.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs it understands exactly how it will be made and what the finished result needs to look like in your room.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves. This is not flat-pack cabinetry put together on site from components. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish. You can see the difference in how a door hangs and how a drawer closes, and you will feel it every day.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts that catch your eye. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you rarely see are built to exactly the same standard as the ones you look at every morning. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over time. You can read more about how we approach quality and manufacturing if you want to understand the detail behind that.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not limited to standard catalogue sizes or off-the-shelf configurations. If your room needs an unusual run width, cabinetry that follows a sloping ceiling, or something that simply does not exist in a standard range, we design and build it exactly as your space requires.

Your Oadby Kitchen Project, Handled from Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress between contractors. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward because the same team holds it from beginning to end. Understanding how that process works in practice can help you know what to expect from the start.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time and making decisions on the spot.

Oadby homes come with their own starting points. A large Edwardian semi with original features asks for a different approach than a newer detached family home with a rear extension. Your project is treated on its own terms, designed around what your particular home actually presents, not adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of property.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that should have been resolved earlier in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the design process start?

It starts with a conversation about your home and what you are hoping to achieve. From there, we arrange a visit to see your room properly. That gives us everything we need to begin designing around the actual space, not a set of rough dimensions on a form.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

The honest answer is that it depends on a number of things: the size of your room, the materials and finishes you choose, the appliances, and how much storage and internal fitting detail is involved. Bespoke kitchens vary significantly for those reasons. What we can say is that our kitchens represent a serious investment, typically starting from around £25,000 and moving upwards from there depending on the scope of the project. We will give you a clear picture of what your kitchen will cost once we understand your room and what you want from it. There are no hidden additions later in the process.

Can you work with unusual room shapes or awkward layouts?

Yes, and that is exactly what bespoke design is for. Alcoves, chimney breasts, rooms that are not square, ceilings that drop or slope over part of the run: all of these are resolved at the design stage. Because we make your kitchen in our own workshop, we are not constrained by standard sizes. If your room is unusual, your kitchen is drawn and built to suit it.

What kitchen styles do you offer?

We work across a wide range of styles, from classic in-frame and shaker designs to handleless and more contemporary cabinetry. Because everything is designed and made for your home specifically, you are not choosing from a fixed menu. You can see a range of styles and finishes on our website, but the right starting point is always your room and what suits the character of your home.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes. If your kitchen is part of a wider renovation or a new extension, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful. We can work alongside your architect or builder, coordinate around the build programme, and make sure the kitchen is designed to suit the finished space rather than adapted to fit it afterwards. The fact that we control design, manufacturing and installation ourselves means there is much less room for things to fall between the gaps when a project is more complex.

How long does the whole process take from first conversation to installation?

Every project is different, but from initial consultation through design, manufacturing and installation, most projects run over several months. We will give you a clear timeline once we understand the scope of your kitchen and your room. The important thing is that nothing is rushed through manufacturing to hit an arbitrary date.

How is my kitchen manufactured?

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is built to the exact dimensions of your room and assembled as a rigid unit before it leaves the factory. This produces a more consistent and accurate result than cabinetry assembled on site from flat-pack components. By the time it reaches your home, it is ready to install.

Who installs the kitchen?

Our own installation team. The same people who have been involved in designing and building your kitchen carry it through to installation. You are not handed over to a separate fitting contractor at the end of the process. One team, from start to finish.

What happens if my room has features I cannot change, like structural walls or existing pipework?

That is part of what we establish at the design stage. We visit your room, understand the fixed points and constraints, and design around them. By the time your kitchen goes into production, every dimension and every fixed point in your room has been accounted for. There are no surprises on installation day.

Do you supply appliances as well?

Yes. We can source and supply appliances as part of your project, or work with appliances you have already chosen or purchased. Either way, everything is integrated into the design properly rather than fitted around cabinetry that was not drawn with those appliances in mind.

Do you work in other areas near Oadby?

Yes. We work across south Leicestershire and the wider area, including Leicester, Wigston and Market Harborough, as well as further across the Midlands. If you are based in or around Oadby, we are well placed to work with you.

How do I get started?

Get in touch and tell us a little about your home and what you are planning. We will have a straightforward conversation about your project and arrange a visit to see your room. There is no pressure and no obligation. It is simply the right way to start thinking a project like this through properly.
