Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Hinckley Home

Whether your home is a Victorian semi near the town centre or a modern detached on one of Hinckley’s newer developments, your kitchen is designed from scratch to fit your specific space.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well starts with the room itself. The light, how you move through the space, how it connects to the rest of the house. Before anything else, we look at layout and proportions. Those decisions shape everything that follows. The visual choices, the materials, the detail, all of that comes after the fundamentals are right.

Hinckley has a varied housing stock. Victorian semis, inter-war family homes, and modern detached houses each bring different proportions, different ceiling heights, different relationships between rooms. The architecture is the starting point. Your kitchen is designed to sit within it, not imposed over it or adjusted from something drawn for a different kind of home entirely.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, walls that cannot move: these things are resolved at the design stage. Every constraint is accounted for before manufacturing begins. Nothing is left to be worked out on installation day, because by that point there is no room for improvisation.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs it understands exactly how it will be made, because both happen under the same roof.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves. These are not flat-pack components put together in your kitchen on the day. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent result than anything built on site from a kit, and that consistency runs through the whole installation.

The same standard applies throughout, not just to the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built to the same standard as the ones you do. That is what determines how well your kitchen performs over time, and how it looks five or ten years from now.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not limited to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room calls for an unusual width, a run beneath a sloping ceiling, or a configuration specific to your space, we design and build it to those exact requirements. You can read more about how we approach quality and manufacturing if you want to understand what goes into it.

Your Hinckley Kitchen Project, Handled from Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress updates. There are no handoffs between contractors, no gaps where responsibility falls between parties. Everything moves forward because one team holds it all the way through.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity matters in practice, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site seeing your plans for the first time and working out what to do with them.

Hinckley’s housing stock means each project has its own starting point. A Victorian semi near the town centre brings different considerations to an inter-war family home or a newer detached property. Your project is treated on its own terms, planned around what your specific home actually needs, not adjusted to fit a programme designed for a different kind of house.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that should have been resolved earlier. The way we work is designed to prevent those problems from arising in the first place.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from first conversation to installation?

It varies depending on the scope of your project, but as a general guide you should allow several months from initial design through to installation being complete. The design stage takes time to get right, manufacturing follows once everything is confirmed, and installation is planned around your home. We will give you a clear timeline once we understand your project properly.

What happens at the first design consultation?

We come to your home, look at the space, and talk through what you want the kitchen to do and how you want it to feel. We ask questions, take note of what is there, and start to understand the room properly. It is a practical conversation, not a presentation. There is no obligation to proceed after that meeting.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

It depends on a number of things: the size of the room, the materials you choose, the appliances, and the level of storage and interior detail you want. A bespoke kitchen is not a product with a fixed price, it is a commission. As a starting point, most of our projects sit in a range that reflects a serious, long-term investment in the home. We would rather talk through your specific situation and give you an honest picture than quote a number that means little without context.

Can you work with awkward or unusual rooms?

Yes, and that is where bespoke design makes the most difference. Alcoves, chimney breasts, low ceilings, non-standard dimensions: these are things we resolve at the design stage. Your kitchen is drawn and built to your room exactly as it is, so nothing unusual gets left unresolved.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes. When a kitchen is part of a wider building project, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful. We can work alongside your architect or builder, align to structural changes, and make sure the kitchen is planned properly for the finished space, not retrofitted into it afterwards. Because we hold the design and production ourselves, it is straightforward to adjust as a project develops.

What styles of kitchen can you design?

Because every kitchen is designed from scratch, we are not limited to a set range of styles. Whether you are drawn to a traditional shaker kitchen, a clean handleless design, or something in between, the style follows from your home and your preferences, not from what happens to be in a brochure. We will talk through what suits the architecture and how you want the room to feel.

Where is my kitchen made?

In our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is factory assembled before it leaves, so what arrives at your home is a finished, precision-built piece of cabinetry, not a kit to be assembled on site. That makes a real difference to the quality and consistency of the final result.

Who carries out the installation?

Our own installation team, the same people who have been involved in your project throughout. Nobody arrives on site unfamiliar with the design. Because the team understands exactly how your kitchen was built and why certain decisions were made, the installation goes more smoothly and any practical questions are answered without delay.

Do I need to have my kitchen fully planned before getting in touch?

Not at all. Most people come to us with a general sense of what they want and a room that needs thinking through properly. You do not need drawings, measurements, or a mood board. The design process starts from scratch, and we work it out together from the very beginning.

Can you work within a set budget?

Yes. Once we understand what your project involves, we can design within a budget that you are comfortable with. We would rather have an honest conversation about what is achievable within your range than design something that does not reflect reality. Some things affect cost more than others, and we can help you understand where it makes sense to invest.

How do you handle the survey and measuring process?

Once the design is agreed, we carry out a full detailed survey of your room before anything is manufactured. Every dimension is confirmed on site. That survey is what your kitchen is built to, so by the time manufacturing begins, the measurements are exact and there is no guesswork involved.

Do you cover the whole of Hinckley and the surrounding villages?

Yes. We work across Hinckley and the surrounding area, including villages throughout the borough and neighbouring areas of Leicestershire and Warwickshire. If you are not sure whether your location falls within our area, just get in touch and we will confirm straight away.
