Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well starts with the room itself. How the light falls through it, how you move between the cooking and living areas, how the space connects to the rest of the house. Those things shape the layout before any visual decisions are made. Get the layout right and everything that follows works naturally around it.

Earlswood sits on the Solihull border and the homes here reflect that. Large detached family homes, properties on the rural edge, quality suburban houses built with real space and character. Each brings its own proportions and its own starting point. Your kitchen is designed to sit within the architecture of your home, not lifted from a drawing made for a different kind of property entirely.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, walls that cannot move, sloping ceilings: these are resolved at the design stage, not worked around on the day of installation. By the time manufacturing begins, every dimension is fixed and every constraint is accounted for. When the installation team arrives, nothing is a surprise.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made, because both happen under the same roof.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves the workshop. Nothing arrives on site as flat-pack components to be put together in your kitchen. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent result than anything built from a kit in a domestic space.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings and carcase construction are all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you never see day to day are built to the same standard as the ones you do. That consistency is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over the years.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, standard catalogue sizes are not a constraint. If your room calls for an unusual width, a run of units beneath a sloping ceiling, or something specific to the architecture of your home, we design and build it to those exact requirements. You can read more about how we approach quality and manufacturing if that is useful.

Your Earlswood Kitchen Project, Handled from Start to Finish

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress between separate contractors. Everything moves forward because one team holds the project all the way through, and there are no gaps between one stage and the next.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, particularly when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. No one arrives on site looking at your plans for the first time and working out what to do.

In Earlswood, that matters. Large detached family homes, rural edge properties and quality suburban houses each bring their own starting point. Your project is treated on its own terms, planned properly from the beginning, not adjusted to fit a standard programme drawn up for a different kind of house altogether.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not properly accounted for at the design stage. The process is straightforward from the first meeting through to completion.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the whole process take, from first contact to a finished kitchen?

It depends on the size and complexity of your project, but as a general guide you should allow several months from your initial consultation through to installation. Design takes time when it is done properly, manufacturing is not rushed, and installation is scheduled to suit your home. We will give you a clear timeline early in the process so you know what to expect and when.

What happens at the first consultation?

We come to your home, look at the room, and talk through what you are thinking. There are no presentations and no pressure. We want to understand how the space works, what you want from it, and what the constraints are. From that conversation, we can begin to form a real picture of what the design needs to do. You are under no obligation to go further after that meeting.

Can you design around an awkward or unusual room layout?

Yes, and that is often where bespoke design is most valuable. If your room has a chimney breast, an alcove, a sloping ceiling, or proportions that make standard units impractical, we design specifically around those features. Everything is resolved at the design stage, so nothing is left to be worked out on installation day.

What kitchen styles do you offer?

We do not work from a fixed range of styles. That said, we design across the full spectrum, from classic shaker kitchens and traditional in-frame cabinetry through to clean-lined handleless designs. The starting point is always your home and what suits it, not a style we happen to favour. We will talk through options with you and explain what tends to work well in rooms like yours.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

The honest answer is that it varies significantly, and that variation is real rather than vague. The size of your room, the materials you choose for doors and worktops, the appliances you specify, and the level of storage detail you want all affect the total. A straightforward kitchen in a modest space will cost considerably less than a large open-plan kitchen with complex cabinetry and high-end stone worktops. What we can say is that this is a considered investment, and we work with you to make sure what is designed reflects both your priorities and your budget. We will give you a clear picture of costs before anything is committed.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes. If your kitchen is part of a wider building project, such as a rear extension or a significant remodel, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful. We can work alongside your architect or builder, and because we control the manufacturing ourselves, we can accommodate changes in programme or structure without the complications that arise when different suppliers are involved. It also means the kitchen is designed as part of the space from the beginning, not fitted in at the end.

How is the kitchen actually manufactured?

Every cabinet is built in our own UK workshop to the exact dimensions of your room. We do not use flat-pack components or off-the-shelf carcases. Units are rigid and fully assembled before they leave the workshop. That approach produces a more precise fit and a more consistent finish than anything assembled on site from a kit.

Who carries out the installation?

Our own installation team, not subcontractors. They work from the same plans used to manufacture your kitchen, so there is no gap between what was designed and what gets fitted. Because they are part of the same team, they understand exactly how everything has been built and what the design intent was.

Do you handle appliance supply and fitting as well?

Yes. We can advise on appliances as part of the design process and ensure everything is specified and positioned correctly from the outset. Integrating appliances properly into the cabinetry is part of the design, not an afterthought, and it is much easier to get right when the whole project is handled by one team.

Can I see examples of your work before I decide?

Yes. We are happy to share examples of completed projects relevant to your home type and the kind of kitchen you have in mind. We can also talk you through past projects in detail during your consultation, including how specific design decisions were made and why. Seeing real work in context is much more useful than a showroom display.

Do you cover Earlswood and the surrounding villages?

Yes. We work across Earlswood and the wider south Warwickshire area, including the Solihull border. We also work regularly in Solihull, Redditch and Birmingham. If you are unsure whether your location is within our area, just get in touch and we can confirm quickly.

What if I am still in the early stages and not sure what I want yet?

That is a perfectly normal place to start. Most people come to us with a general sense of what is not working in their current kitchen rather than a finished brief. The initial consultation is designed to help you think it through. We ask the right questions, look at the space, and help you arrive at a clear direction. You do not need to have everything worked out before you get in touch.
