Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Redcar Home
If you are planning a new kitchen in Redcar, everything starts with your home, your room, and exactly how you want it to work.

A bespoke kitchen designed and installed by Mastercraft in a Redcar home
Designed Around Your Home
Designing a kitchen well begins with the room itself. The light through the windows, how you move between the kitchen and the rest of the house, where the natural focal points are. Layout and proportion come first. Everything else, doors, finishes, worktops, follows from those decisions. That order matters. Getting it wrong early is difficult to undo.
Redcar homes span a range of periods and types. Inter-war semis, solid coastal family houses, properties on the Teesside fringe, each one has its own proportions, its own ceiling heights, its own relationship between rooms. Your kitchen is designed to sit properly within your architecture, not drawn up as a generic plan and then adjusted to fit.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, walls that cannot move: these are resolved at the design stage, not discovered during installation. By the time your kitchen moves into production, every dimension is confirmed and every constraint is already accounted for. There are no surprises when the team arrives on site. You can read more about how we work through that process from first measurement to finished kitchen.
Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The person who designs your kitchen understands exactly how it will be made, because they are part of the same team that makes it.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and fully assembled before it leaves the workshop. Nothing arrives as flat-pack components to be put together in your kitchen. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent result than anything built on site from a kit. That difference is visible in how the finished kitchen sits and moves.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you do not see are built to exactly the same standard as the ones you do. That consistency is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of daily use. Our approach to quality and manufacturing reflects that throughout.
Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not working from a catalogue of standard sizes. If your room needs an unusual cabinet width, a run of units beneath a sloping ceiling, or a configuration that would not exist in any showroom, we design and build it exactly as required. The room dictates the design, not the other way around.
Your Redcar Kitchen Project, Handled from Start to Finish
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating different trades or chasing progress from separate contractors. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward properly because the same team holds it from the very beginning.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, particularly when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site encountering your plans for the first time. The whole project moves with the same knowledge throughout.
Redcar homes have their own character. Whether you are working with an inter-war semi, a solid coastal family house, or a Teesside property with its own particular layout, your project is treated on its own terms. It is not adjusted to fit a standard programme that was drawn up for a different kind of house in a different kind of place.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not properly resolved at the design stage. The fit is right because the work was done correctly before manufacturing began.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a bespoke kitchen different from what I would get from a kitchen showroom?
A showroom kitchen is designed around a range of standard cabinet sizes and configurations. Your room gets adapted to fit what is available. A bespoke kitchen works the other way around. Your room is measured precisely, your layout is designed specifically for your space, and the cabinetry is manufactured to those exact dimensions. Nothing is off the shelf.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
There is a wide range, and that is honest rather than evasive. The cost of a bespoke kitchen depends on the size of the room, the materials and finishes you choose, the appliances, and the level of storage and interior detail you want. A straightforward project in a mid-sized kitchen sits in a different place to a large open-plan space with extensive cabinetry and premium worktops. What we can say is that a bespoke kitchen from Mastercraft represents a genuine long-term investment in your home. When you speak with us, we will give you a clear picture of what a project like yours involves, based on your actual room and what you want from it.
What happens at the first design consultation?
We come to your home and look at the room properly. We talk through how you use the space, what is working and what is not, and what you are hoping for from your new kitchen. We take measurements and get a real understanding of the room before any design work begins. It is a practical conversation, not a sales presentation.
Can you work with rooms that have awkward features, like a sloping ceiling or a chimney breast?
Yes, and those are exactly the kinds of things we design around rather than work around. Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, load-bearing walls: all of that is resolved at the design stage. By the time your kitchen goes into production, every dimension and constraint has been accounted for. Nothing is left to figure out on installation day.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. If your kitchen is part of a wider building project, an extension, a knock-through, or a full ground-floor renovation, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly valuable. We can work alongside your architect or contractor, and because we make the cabinetry ourselves, we can accommodate changes in dimensions or layout as the build progresses. There are no separate handovers between a design company and a manufacturer. It all stays with us.
What kitchen styles are available?
Because every kitchen is designed and built individually, there is no fixed range to choose from. We work across a wide spectrum of styles, from classic in-frame and shaker designs to clean handleless kitchens. The style follows from your home, your taste, and what suits the architecture of your space. We will work through that with you during the design process.
Where is my kitchen made?
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop. Every cabinet is built to the specific dimensions of your room and fully assembled before it is delivered. It does not arrive as flat-pack components to be put together on site. It arrives as finished cabinetry, ready to install.
How long does the whole process take from first conversation to completed kitchen?
It varies depending on the scale of your project, but as a general guide, from your initial consultation through design, manufacturing and installation, you should expect a process of several months. We will give you a realistic timeline at the start of your project and keep you informed as things progress. Rushing the design stage to speed up a timeline is not something we do.
Who carries out the installation?
Our own installation team. The people who install your kitchen are part of the same practice that designed and built it. They are not a separate contractor brought in at the end of the project. That matters because they arrive on site with full knowledge of your kitchen, how it was designed and why, and exactly how it should go together.
Do you supply appliances as well as cabinetry?
Yes. We can supply and integrate appliances as part of your kitchen project. Your designer will talk through what you need and how the appliances work within the overall design and layout. Everything is coordinated through the same project, so there is no need to manage appliance supply separately.
I live in Redcar but my home is a fairly ordinary semi. Is a bespoke kitchen still the right option?
Absolutely. Bespoke does not mean the home has to be grand or unusual. It means your kitchen is designed and built specifically for your room, whatever size or type that room is. Many of the homes we work on are solid, everyday family houses. The value of a properly designed and built kitchen is the same regardless of the property type.
How do I get started?
Get in touch and we will arrange a time to come to your home. There is no obligation, no pressure, and nothing you need to prepare. We look at the room, have a conversation about what you are looking for, and go from there. That first visit is the natural starting point for everything that follows.
