Whatever your home looks like in Leyland, your kitchen is designed specifically for it, the layout, the proportions, the way you use the space, all of it.

A bespoke kitchen design for a Leyland home by Mastercraft Kitchens
Designed Around Your Home
Designing a kitchen well starts with the room itself. The light, the proportions, how you move through the space, how it connects to the rest of your home. Layout decisions come first. Where things sit, how the room flows, what works for the way you actually live in it. Visual choices follow from that, not the other way around.
Leyland has a wide mix of housing. Modern detached homes, inter-war semis, family houses built across different eras, each with its own proportions and character. The architecture of your home sets the starting point for the design. Your kitchen is drawn to sit within that, not lifted from a template intended for a different kind of space altogether.
Alcoves, chimney breasts, ceilings that follow a roofline, walls that are not going anywhere: these are resolved at the design stage, not discovered on installation day. By the time your kitchen goes into production, every dimension has been measured and accounted for. The design reflects your room exactly as it is.
Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our UK workshop, and installed by the same team. One process, one point of responsibility, from the first conversation to the day it is handed over. The person who designs it understands precisely how it will be made and fitted.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last
Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built to the exact dimensions of your room. Every cabinet arrives on site rigid and factory assembled, not as flat-pack components put together in your home. That matters because factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent finish than anything built from a kit on the kitchen floor.
The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings: all specified to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you open and close ten times a day, and the parts tucked away at the back of a cabinet, are built to the same specification. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over time.
Because we make your kitchen ourselves, standard sizes and catalogue configurations do not limit what we can do. If your room needs an unusual run width, cabinetry that follows a sloping ceiling, or something else specific to your space, we design and build it exactly as required. Nothing is approximated to fit.
Your Kitchen Project in Leyland, Handled from Start to Finish
From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation: one team, one process. You are not left coordinating trades or chasing progress between separate contractors. There are no handoffs, no gaps in responsibility. Everything moves forward properly because one team holds it throughout, and you have a single point of contact the whole way through.
The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The team who builds it knows what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, especially when your room has unusual features or specific constraints. Nobody arrives on site and looks at your plans for the first time. Everyone involved already knows your project in detail before work begins.
Whether you are working with a modern detached home, an inter-war semi, or a family house that has its own quirks and character, your project starts from what is actually there. The programme is built around your home and your situation, not adjusted to fit a standard schedule drawn up for a different kind of house entirely.
Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything goes into production. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no last-minute on-site adjustments to compensate for things that were not fully resolved at the design stage. If it was measured and designed correctly, it fits correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a bespoke kitchen project take from start to finish?
It varies depending on the complexity of your room and the specification you choose, but as a general guide, you should allow several months from the initial consultation through to installation. The design stage takes time to do properly, manufacturing follows once every detail is confirmed, and installation is planned carefully around your home. We will give you a clear timeline for your specific project early in the process.
What happens at the first consultation?
We come to your home in Leyland, look at the room properly, and have a straightforward conversation about what you want your kitchen to do. We look at how the space is laid out, talk through how you use it day to day, and start to understand what the design needs to achieve. There is no obligation at that stage. It is simply the right place to begin.
Can you design a kitchen for a room with awkward features, like a sloping ceiling or a chimney breast?
Yes, and that is exactly where bespoke design makes the most difference. Unusual features are resolved during the design stage, not on installation day. If your room has a chimney breast, a low ceiling, an alcove, or a wall that cannot move, we design around it precisely. Every measurement is taken and accounted for before anything is made.
What styles of kitchen do you offer?
We work across a wide range of styles, from classic shaker kitchens and traditional in-frame cabinetry through to clean-lined handleless kitchens. Because everything is designed and made to order, the style, finish, and detail are chosen to suit your home and your taste, not matched to a fixed range. You can explore some of the approaches we take across our kitchen styles and finishes pages.
What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?
The honest answer is that it depends on several factors: the size of your room, the materials you choose, the appliances you want to include, and the level of storage and interior detail involved. Bespoke kitchens vary considerably because they are built specifically for each home. What we can say is that most projects at this level represent a meaningful investment, and the value comes from a kitchen that fits your home precisely and is built to last. We will give you a clear and detailed picture of cost for your specific project once we have seen your room and understood what you need.
How is the kitchen actually made?
Your kitchen is built in our own UK workshop, not outsourced to a third party. Every cabinet is made to the exact dimensions of your room and arrives on site fully assembled and ready to fit. We do not supply flat-pack components to be put together on the day. The whole kitchen is manufactured as a complete, finished product before installation begins.
Who installs the kitchen, and will I be dealing with different contractors?
The same team that designs and manufactures your kitchen handles the installation. You are not dealing with a chain of separate contractors. One team is responsible for the whole project, from the first conversation through to the day the kitchen is handed over. That means if anything needs attention, you have one point of contact and one team who knows your project in full.
Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?
Yes. If your kitchen is part of a wider building project, perhaps an extension, a full renovation, or a reconfiguration of your ground floor, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly valuable. We can work alongside your architect or builder, and because we control the design and production process ourselves, we can respond to changes or specific structural requirements without relying on an external manufacturer to interpret plans. It also means the kitchen design is fully resolved before your build reaches that stage, which keeps things on programme.
Can I choose my own appliances, or do you supply them as part of the project?
Both are possible. We can advise on appliances and include them as part of the project, which means everything is specified and accounted for in the design from the start. If you have appliances in mind already, or have purchased them separately, we design around them precisely. Either way, the kitchen is built to suit exactly what is going in it.
How far in advance should I get in touch if I want a kitchen installed by a particular date?
As early as you can. The design stage takes time to do properly, and manufacturing follows on from that. If you have a date in mind, whether it is tied to a building project, a move, or simply when you want to have the kitchen in place, tell us at the first conversation and we will structure the programme around it. Getting in touch early gives us the best chance of working to your timeline comfortably.
Do you only work in Leyland, or across a wider area?
We work across Leyland and the surrounding area, including Preston, Chorley, Ormskirk, and the wider Lancashire region. If you are not sure whether we cover your location, just ask. We are happy to confirm it.
What if I am not sure what I want yet? Is it too early to get in touch?
Not at all. Many of the best projects start with a conversation where the brief is still quite open. You might know your kitchen is not working for you without knowing exactly what you want instead. That is a perfectly good starting point. We are used to helping people work through that, and the consultation is the right place to begin, not a presentation you need to prepare for.
