Your Kitchen, Designed for Your Ponteland Home

If you are planning a new kitchen in Ponteland, this is where it begins, with your home, your room, and exactly how you want it to work.

Designed Around Your Home

Designing a kitchen well starts with the room itself. How the light falls through it, how you move between spaces, where the natural focal points are. Layout and proportion come first. Everything else, materials, storage, visual detail, follows from those decisions. Get the fundamentals right and the rest of the kitchen falls into place around them.

Ponteland homes vary considerably. A large detached family home has different proportions to a period village property or a rural farmhouse on the edge of the village. An executive new build brings its own constraints and opportunities. Whatever the starting point, your kitchen is designed to sit within the architecture of your home, not fitted to a plan that was drawn up for something else entirely.

Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings, walls that cannot move, these are resolved at the design stage, not improvised on installation day. Every dimension is measured, accounted for, and built into the plans before manufacturing begins. When the team arrives to install your kitchen, nothing needs to be worked around that was not already anticipated.

Your kitchen is designed individually, built in our own UK workshop, and installed by the same team throughout. One process, one point of responsibility. The designer who plans it understands exactly how it will be made, and that carries through from the first conversation to the day it is handed over.

Crafted Cabinetry, Built to Last

Your kitchen is made in our own UK workshop, built specifically for your home. Every cabinet is rigid and factory assembled before it leaves, not flat-pack components put together on site. Factory assembly produces tighter tolerances and a more consistent result than anything built in your kitchen from a kit. What arrives at your home is ready to install, not ready to start building.

The same standard runs through the whole kitchen, not just the parts you see every day. Drawer runners, hinges, interior fittings, all specified and finished to the same level as the doors and worktops. The parts you never think about are built to the same standard as the ones you do. That is what determines how well your kitchen holds up over years of daily use.

Because we make your kitchen ourselves, we are not restricted to standard sizes or catalogue configurations. If your room calls for an unusual run of cabinetry, a section beneath a sloping ceiling, or something that simply does not exist in a standard range, we design and build it exactly as your space requires. Nothing is approximated to fit.

Everything Handled, Start to Finish, Your Ponteland Project in One Place

From your first conversation through to the day your kitchen is handed over, the whole project sits with Mastercraft. Design, manufacturing, installation, one team, one process. You are not left coordinating separate trades or chasing progress between contractors. There are no gaps in responsibility, no handoffs where things get lost. Everything moves forward properly because the same team holds it from beginning to end.

The designers who plan your kitchen understand exactly how it will be built. The people who build it know what was designed and why. That continuity makes a real practical difference, particularly when your room has unusual features or specific constraints that need to be carried through every stage. Nobody arrives on site looking at your plans for the first time.

Ponteland homes bring their own starting points. A farmhouse on the village fringe, a large detached family home, an executive new build, a period property on the main street, each one is different in how it is structured, how the kitchen sits within the house, and what the space demands. Your project is approached on its own terms, not adjusted to fit a programme designed for a different kind of house.

Your cabinetry is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your room, measured precisely before anything is made. When installation begins, everything arrives ready to fit. There are no on-site adjustments to compensate for measurements that were not fully resolved at the design stage. The room was accounted for long before the installation team arrived.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the whole process take, from first conversation to finished kitchen?

It depends on the scale and complexity of your project, but as a general guide you should allow several months from initial design through to completed installation. The design stage takes time to get right, manufacturing follows once everything is confirmed, and installation is scheduled around your home. We will give you a clear programme once we understand your project properly.

What happens at the first consultation?

We come to your home, look at the room, and have a straightforward conversation about how you use it and what you want your kitchen to become. There are no presentations and no pressure. We ask questions, take in the space, and start to get a sense of what the right design approach might be. You are under no obligation at that stage.

What does a bespoke kitchen typically cost?

The honest answer is that it varies, because every kitchen is different. Room size, the materials you choose, the appliances, the level of storage detail, the complexity of the design, all of these affect the final figure. Most projects at this level represent a meaningful investment in your home. Rather than quote a number that may not be relevant to your specific room, the most useful thing is to have a conversation about your project and give you a realistic picture from there.

Can you work with rooms that have unusual features, low ceilings, alcoves, irregular walls?

Yes, and these are the kinds of rooms where a bespoke approach makes the biggest difference. Features like alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings or walls that cannot be moved are resolved at the design stage. Because we manufacture everything ourselves, we are not limited by standard sizes. Your cabinetry is drawn and built around what the room actually is.

Do you work on larger renovation projects or extensions?

Yes. If your kitchen is part of a wider building project, an extension, a rear reconfiguration, or a significant renovation, having design and manufacturing under one roof is particularly useful. We can work alongside your architect or builder, designing the kitchen in the context of the new space before construction is finished. Nothing is improvised once the builders have left.

What styles of kitchen can you design?

Because we design and build everything from scratch, we are not limited to a set of styles or finishes from a catalogue. Whether you are drawn to something contemporary and understated, something that suits a period property, or a design that sits somewhere between the two, we work from your preferences and the character of your home. The style conversation starts with you, not with a brochure.

Who will I be dealing with throughout the project?

The same team throughout. The designer who works with you at the start stays involved as your project moves through manufacturing and into installation. You are not passed between departments or handed to a project manager you have never met. One team, one point of contact, the whole way through.

How is the kitchen actually made?

Every cabinet is built in our own UK workshop to the exact dimensions of your room. They arrive factory assembled, rigid, finished, ready to install, not as flat-pack components to be put together on site. Factory assembly gives tighter tolerances and a more consistent result. What gets installed in your home has been properly built before it ever arrives there.

How does installation work, and how long does it take?

Our own installation team carries out the work. Because everything has been manufactured to the precise measurements of your room, installation is methodical and straightforward. The length of time on site depends on the scale of your kitchen, but we give you a clear timeline before work begins and keep disruption as manageable as possible.

Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want before getting in touch?

Not at all. Many people come to us knowing they want a new kitchen but without a clear picture of what that looks like. The consultation is where that starts to take shape. You might have some reference points, or you might simply know the room is not working. Either way, we start from where you are.

Can you help if I am not sure whether my room layout should change?

Yes. Layout is often the first thing we look at, how you move through the space, where the natural work areas should be, how the kitchen connects to the rest of the house. Sometimes the existing layout is worth keeping and improving. Sometimes a change makes the room work significantly better. We will give you an honest view based on your specific room.

Do you only work in Ponteland, or across the wider area?

We work across Ponteland and the surrounding area, including Morpeth, Hexham, Corbridge and the wider Northumberland region. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, just get in touch and we will let you know straightforwardly.
