About the Role
Mastercraft Kitchens designs and installs bespoke fitted kitchens for private clients across the UK. Electrical work is a core part of every installation, and the standard we maintain on site reflects the expectations our clients have. We are looking for experienced, fully qualified electricians to join our installation network on a full-time, part-time, or contract basis across the Midlands, North East, North West, South East, South West, and Wales.
This is a role for someone who works to a consistently high standard, understands the responsibility that comes with working in a client’s home, and can operate professionally as part of a wider installation team.
What the Work Involves
You will carry out all first and second fix electrical work required as part of each kitchen installation. Projects are based at private residential properties across the UK, so reliability, a professional manner, and the ability to travel are all important parts of the role.
Day to day, the work includes:

- Installing and connecting kitchen appliances, lighting circuits, and extraction systems
- Working to specifications and project delivery plans alongside other trades

- Testing, inspecting, and certifying completed electrical installations
- Issuing the appropriate certification on completion, including EICR and minor works certificates where required
- Maintaining accurate records of work carried out on each project
- Ensuring full compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations throughout
What We Are Looking For
A minimum of 12 to 15 years of hands-on domestic electrical experience is required. We are looking for someone who is fully qualified, able to self-certify their work, and comfortable managing their responsibilities independently on site.
You will also need:
- A valid driving licence and your own vehicle and tools
- The ability to travel to project sites across the UK, with overnight stays when required
- The ability to work as part of a team and adhere to a project delivery plan
- A thorough working knowledge of health and safety requirements and correct PPE use on site
Qualifications and Certifications
The following are required or strongly preferred:
- City and Guilds 2382 or equivalent (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Inspection, Testing and Certification)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent
- NICEIC, NAPIT, or equivalent approved contractor registration, with the ability to self-certify under Part P
- JIB Gold Card or equivalent (preferred)
- CSCS card (preferred)
Candidates must be able to provide evidence of their qualifications and examples of completed projects.
Skills and Attributes
- In-depth knowledge of current UK wiring regulations and building standards
- Experience working in residential environments to a high finish standard
- The ability to read and follow technical drawings and project specifications
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working in clients’ homes
- A methodical, detail-conscious way of working with a focus on safe, clean installations
