The AVENTOS HL top is Blum's parallel lift mechanism for cabinet doors that open upwards and stay parallel to the ceiling. This system handles doors from lightweight timber fronts up to substantial 10kg panels, making it suitable for most overhead kitchen cabinets. You'll find this mechanism in wall-mounted cabinets where you want the door to lift straight up rather than swing out into the room. It works particularly well above kitchen islands, over worktops where head clearance matters, or anywhere you need clear access without doors getting in the way. The mechanism uses twin lift arms that guide your cabinet door up in a smooth parallel motion. The door rises to sit flat against the ceiling or cabinet top, staying completely out of your working space. The system integrates with Blum's BLUMOTION soft-close technology and can work with SERVO-DRIVE for power-assisted opening. When you're working at a worktop, having cabinet doors swing out towards you creates awkward moments. This parallel lift keeps doors completely clear of your head and workspace. You can leave the door open while you work without constantly ducking around it or having it swing closed on its own. The mechanism needs specific cabinet dimensions to work properly. Your cabinet must be at least 264mm deep internally and between 300-389mm in height. The system works across cabinet widths from 300mm up to 1800mm, so it handles everything from single narrow cabinets to wide span units. The door weight range of 1.5-10kg covers most kitchen door types, though very heavy solid timber or thick veneered doors may approach the upper limit. Blum manufactures this mechanism to their standard five-year warranty specification. The set includes both lift mechanisms and the necessary chipboard screws for installation. The precision of the parallel motion relies on Blum's consistent manufacturing tolerances and robust internal components. Consider how you actually use your wall cabinets. If you frequently access items while standing at the worktop below, this parallel lift system removes the frustration of doors that swing into your space. Check your cabinet dimensions against the requirements, particularly the depth and height constraints, as these determine whether the mechanism will fit your specific situation.AVENTOS HL top Lift Mechanism set
