This is Blum's ECO-base waste system, a fully integrated drawer solution that turns your 500mm base cabinet into a complete waste management centre. Rather than cramming bins into whatever space remains, this system is designed around the waste function first, with everything from the drawer dimensions to the internal dividers planned to maximise your bin capacity.

Where It Fits

The system fits into a standard 500mm wide base cabinet, though you'll need at least 503mm internal depth and 640mm internal height to accommodate it. It works particularly well in galley kitchens or where you want your waste storage close to the sink or preparation area.

How It Works

The drawer uses the full cabinet footprint with two 42-litre bins sitting side by side. A cross divider with lateral supports keeps everything stable as you pull the drawer open, while non-slip matting prevents the bins from sliding around. The odour trap shelf sits across the top of the bins, containing smells while providing storage for spare bin bags.

You can choose between BLUMOTION for soft-close operation, or TIP-ON BLUMOTION if you prefer push-to-open functionality for handleless kitchen designs. Both options give you that controlled, silent close that prevents slamming.
