The Space Twin is a dual-level pull-out storage system from Blum designed specifically for narrow base units. Rather than a single deep drawer, you get two separate pull-out compartments stacked vertically, each operating independently on full-extension runners.
Where It Fits
This system works in 300mm wide base units where you need to maximise storage in a tight space. It's particularly useful in galley kitchens or where you're working with limited cabinet widths but still want organised, accessible storage for different types of items.
How It Works
Each compartment pulls out completely on Blum's BLUMOTION runners, giving you full access to the contents. The upper compartment is medium height, suitable for plates, bowls or packaged goods. The lower compartment is shallower, ideal for tins, jars or cleaning supplies. Both close with Blum's soft-close mechanism.
Why It Matters
Instead of reaching into the back of a narrow cupboard, everything comes to you. The two-tier design lets you separate different types of storage logically. You might keep baking ingredients above and heavier items like oils and vinegars below, or dedicate one level to cleaning supplies and another to food storage.
Design Consideration
This works well when you have specific storage needs that benefit from separation, but it may not suit you if you prefer one larger storage space for bulky items. The dual-compartment design is most valuable when you can make use of both levels effectively.
Build Quality
The system uses Blum's LEGRABOX drawer system in stainless steel with their proven BLUMOTION runners rated for 40kg. Non-slip matting is included to prevent items sliding around. The runners provide full extension and reliable soft-close operation over many years of use.
Options
Available in Pure finish (stainless steel throughout) or Free finish (which includes a clear glass design element). The system is made to fit your specific cabinet dimensions and comes fully assembled.
Consider this if you have narrow base units where you want organised, accessible storage for different categories of items. The independent operation of each level gives you flexibility that a single drawer cannot match.
