This is Blum's 155° CLIP top hinge in the nil protrusion configuration. It's a wide-angle hinge that opens your cabinet doors to 155 degrees while ensuring that internal drawers and pull-outs won't hit the back of the door when it's open.
Where It Fits
You'll find this hinge particularly useful in corner cabinets or anywhere you have deep drawers that extend close to the door. The nil protrusion design means the hinge body sits further back, creating the clearance needed for full-extension drawer runners to operate without interference.
How It Works
The 155-degree opening angle gives you excellent access to the cabinet interior. The CLIP mechanism allows you to remove doors quickly without tools, which is helpful during installation or if you need to adjust the kitchen later. Three-dimensional adjustment lets you fine-tune the door position with 3mm of depth adjustment, 3mm up or down, and 2mm side to side.
Design Consideration
This hinge works at full 155-degree opening only with door thicknesses between 20mm and 24mm. If your doors are 25-27mm thick, you'll need an angle stop that limits opening to 110 degrees. Doors over 27mm are restricted to 92 degrees. You'll need to consider whether the reduced opening angle on thicker doors still gives you the access you need.
Build Quality
The steel construction has a nickel finish and comes with Blum's lifetime guarantee. The proven CLIP mechanism has been tested millions of times. You can add Blum's BLUMOTION soft-close or TIP-ON push-to-open systems if you want those functions.
Options
This hinge requires a separate mounting plate, which isn't included. You can specify it with various closing mechanisms and additional features like soft-close, depending on how you want your doors to operate.
Think about your cabinet depths and what you're storing inside. If you have full-extension drawers or pull-out systems, this nil protrusion design might be exactly what you need to avoid that frustrating collision between drawer and door.
